I saw the tweet from the Detroit News Reporter back to her asking for her to reach out... he was a former member of this community. The article says she's not done that. This is why earlier on I wondered whether this person has anybody advising her on how to proceed with this. It seems odd that if it's being investigated, as the news article says it is, then why did she come out again over the weekend? -

Was it ever believed that Presidents didn't have immunity for official acts? That's where I keep getting hung up... like you can't prosecute W because of the Iraq War, you can't prosecute Obama for Drone Strikes. You can't prosecute Clinton for hitting the wrong targets when going after Bin Laden.

I saw a tweet referencing Paul Begala about Joe needing to drop out... something Shakespearean about a bunch of media/pundit dinosaurs talking this way. Anyone reach out to Chris Mathews yet? This is the leftwing equivalent of Fox News always trotting out the likes of Gingrich or **** Morris to talk about today's issues. Sometimes both sides are the same.

It’s kind of like pornography and the way the SC defined it… “I know it when I see it” Would this ruling absolve Reagan from any of his potential crimes for Iran Contra? it also absolves Biden from the GOP wanting to go after him “for Afghanistan”.

Someone said that Nixon's quote that "when the President does it, it's not illegal" now applies and that's not true. I mean... the flip side to this is they had said no immunity for anything then a President's life after office could be filled with litigation for their official acts that people didn't care for.

Unless others can convince me, I'm not as worked up on this as I expected to be. As I spend 3 minutes trying to decide on official vs non official acts.... assasination isn't legal. A president is charged with faithfully executing the laws. Often Presidents are faced with 2 bad choices and they have to decide which is worse. If a policy harms 2000 people vs the alternative that might have harmed 3000 people..... with no immunity for official acts could a group go after the POTUS when they picked the first option?

I'm fearful of some compromise that lets him off the hook somehow.

I think the idea that "the presidency ages people" is not quite right. When you look at people like Clinton, Bush, and Obama... yes they looked "older" after 8 years, but that's because... they are 8 years older. People age, especially when you get that time frame in life-mid to late 40s and mid 50's. You don't see much difference in people between ages 25-45, but after that you get wrinkles and gray hair and age spots, etc. I'm 50 and seeing that myself. Facebook Memories is great for that. But Presidents have accesst to the best doctors and chefs around and we've seen they all have been living very long lives afterward so I'm not sure the "job ages you" thing is quite true.

The NY Times are still butt hurt that Biden won’t recognize their “importance”. The NYT are nothing more than literary critics sending papers back and forth to each other in a circle jerk. Serves no functional purpose in society and solves no problems.

Which used to be the normal process.

I think they had a falling out but I still don’t give this guy any credibility. I’m confused as to why this hasn’t been touched by any “legit” media. Surely some reporter had to be digging around. I see four reasons in order of believability. 1) they didn’t have enough to publish without fear of a lawsuit 2) don’t want to rock the boat with the org 3) just incompetent or lack of resources to pursue. 4) there’s nothing to the story yet -

I would think so. I’m drifting towards an opinion this person is unstable, perhaps from years of abuse like this, and thinks in a social media world that @-ing a bunch of companies is how you deal with it. I didn’t see any reference to investigations going on. Or maybe there is already an issue and that’s what enabled him to keep doing this all these years. I am specifically not saying she’s making it up. I’m only wondering about the mechanics of any investigation or next steps. -

I wonder what kind of support this woman has around her. She says she is in therapy. There are avenues for Justice that a therapist should have advised on. She gives the impression nobody is listening to her. Isn’t law enforcement the first stop in getting justice? Maybe she has nobody and little money to afford attorneys. -

That explains the response by the Tigers when explaining his absence. her details seem pretty specific. -
The problem is Kamala Harris. The party would lose a lot of built up goodwill with the black community if they decided another candidate was needed and it wasn’t the sitting #2 who is slated for the same thing going forward.

Who suggested otherwise. But when one debater is lying a lot more than the other then the snowflakes interpret that as bullying.

He had issues with the training staff too didn’t he?

The NY Times is a relic. It’s cursive handwriting. They serve no purpose in a modern world. Pundits and columnists, especially from NY don’t matter anymore in a connected world. They are not smarter than us and don’t have any special skills or insights. They are just assholes taking **** like the rest of us. They don’t move needles.

I think the potical class and twitter folks need to understand that they are not reality. Nobody, figuratively-not literally, watches the network news shows. Most people didn't even watch the debate. They live in a world where they think their opinion still matters. It doesn't.

thanks for sharing. I knew of it but didn't get a chance to do this. I learned of his situation a few days ago but didn't think it was yet proper to announce anything. He had a medical emergency and was unresponsive so I think the family was deciding on the best way to proceed. I found out via facebook today what the result was. His username for us was Walt. Very sad. He was a valuable member of our community. I always paid attention to what he wrote as it was top quality and he was a good family man. God Bless him and his family and friends. There is a fund for the family for anybody interested in helping. https://www.spotfund.com/story/532e04a7-3b9a-46d0-8a27-6095485004f0?created=true&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR38Kc0KHamFn5CVuyEctdjLhOIM-a4q3Kob-oviUXB-FQkHmCVAa0np3xw_aem_x9nodAhX2XWmth7LroldAw&referral_id=dce7ce10-e410-4e22-a21c-a5f03a360a9d

The depressing thing to me isn't Biden's slowing down itself... it's the effect it could have on voters. I personally don't care or think it has to affect his performance as older people DO slow down but their mind still works. That's what matters. Our commander in chief doesn't get on a horse and lead troops to battle. They make decisions based on advisers. Biden could be in a wheelchair with a feeding tube and non verbal and I'd vote for him over Trump. There's still no comparison. It's all in the context of the election results for me.

When Truman was selected as VP by the backroom they knew they were picking the next President. It's one of the many parallels he shares with Gerald Ford. Neither wanted the job and were picked as VP due to their non threatening nature and the fact they would be acceptable as the next POTUS to everyone in the party, and across the aisle in Ford's case.
