Can I ask… what the **** are you talking about and what is your point? what does blackface and old Karl Malone jokes have to do with this? Because he made jokes that have now aged poorly in hindsight then people can call him a pedophile today ? That makes no sense. Megyn Kelly? Are we just randomly throwing out peoples names now?
-
I've had family members ask me that too. They "heard" there's certain sections cops won't go in. I told them to stick a shawarma up their ass

it's always fascinating when people want to find the line to when it's ok to be a jerk or not. "This guy is a thief" "Hey, don't say that about him. That's not cool" "Why not? He once made fun of somebody for thinking the earth was flat." "Yeah but that's not the same thing as accusing someone of a crime" "Yeah but his friends made a joke about stealing something, same thing, right?"
-
I guess I just think pedophilia is a very bad thing and you think it's no big deal. My mistake.
-
that guy never lifted anything over 10 pounds in his life. He's never so much as dug a hole.
-
Does he get paid to accuse people of being pedophiles?
-
"Yeah I know that person was driving drunk but you were driving 55 in a 45 zone" MTG is a huge flamethrower of toxic vitriol and downright meanness towards people. Kimmell didn't suggest anybody punch her. He's a comedian doing jokes on a the comedy portion of his comedy show where jokes are told. That is not even in the same ****ing ballpark as an NFL quarterback talking about current events on TV and suggesting out of the blue that someone is going to be named on a list of pedophiles. Why are you so concerned about him being able to do that?
-
yes. that phrase is a huge peeve of mine. Blaming others for your lack of ability to draw in employees, as if you are entitled to a work force. Employees have options now. Employers have to fight for them like they do customers. There's people who want to work. They just don't want to work for you. Look in the mirror.

Still a different thing. AAron went on national TV and suggested Kimmel was a pedophile over real world events, real victims, etc. Not just a general statement or, sorry... "joke". Rodgers has not said it was a joke or apologized. This whataboutism thing is really tiring and intellectually lazy and lame. I mean seriously.... what is your motive in defending someone accusing someone else of being a pedophile? Why do you care? It's like when white people get mad that blacks can say the N word but they can't. Why do you want to say it? Why does it bother you? Do you have a personal interest in this? Is AAron your cousin or lover?

there's a difference between making jokes about covid and making jokes about someone being a pedophile. Come on.

It was a "****, my boss is also his boss" kind of moment for him.

Rome was peak listening for me. I didn't get him until my very first business trip, I had to drive to Ohio, so I had that on. I listened regularly for about 10 years. He moved networks or something so I couldn't get the reception or something.... and I haven't listened to the radio much in the last 10 years or so since Satellite and Apple Music and podcasts, etc. But I loved his bits. "Softball guy" "The Latrine of Death". Sergio Garciaparra.

I've noticed places that have the "automatic 18%" surcharge.... tend to have a lot of clientele that for whatever reason, culturally do not tip. I was alerted to this in the mid 90's when I ran into a friend, from that culture, at a restaurant while she was working. She sat down after her shift with us and lamented a table near us of that same culture. She said the server staff would fight over who had to get stuck with the tables from that culture. That stuck with me. Three times within the last 6 months I saw those signs... looked around... and drew that conclusion. I get it. If the stafff doesn't get paid then the go somewhere else and there's no business..

I mean... you can literally see the landing sites from Earth with the right equipment. You can see the descent engines, the lunar rovers.... At what point do the moon deniers think chicanery took over? You had thousands of people in Alabama building the Saturn V. Designers, engineers, assembly. You had NASA, North American Aviation in CA, Grummann on Long Island building the spacecrafts..... along with dozens of subcontractors. You had about a million people who watched the launches in FL. You had a network of tracking ships all over the world as they orbited the Earth. Then they executed the TLI burn to head towards the moon so they could fall into their gravitational pull. If that didn't happen, where did it go? There was the ability to track an orbiting spacecraft so if it didn't go to the moon, where? If it stayed in Earth Orbit people would have noticed. If it left Earth Orbit how did it come back without going to the moon? You can'tjust turn around and come back. It's not like driving a car.

this goes along with the earlier discussion about young people and beliefs based on the internet. It's not real but could be.

and what's shameful about that list is we are talking about rape. Rape of young girls. By high powered men. Systematic. They turn it into cheap punchlines. Someone on twitter pointed out that in spite of what we know, the only person in jail is a woman. Granted, she deserves every punishment possible given to her and probably more. That NPA agreement signed in 2007 by Acosta on behalf of the US government needs to be dealt with and investigated. But who investigates?

Rush never recorded a song that they couldn't play live as it sounded. I appreciate that as a fan. But I also appreciate bands, like the Allmans, who would go off whereever they felt like going during a song. SRV was here a few weeks before he died... oh to have been there. His death really got to me. I was 17 and was probably the first celebrity/musician that I really liked to have died. Just numbing. He had turned his life around and damn, he was only 35. He is credited for making guitar cool again and reintroducing blues based rock after what we went through in the 80's. Yes we had EVH but that wasn't blues based. Vaughan's success specifically led to the Allmans deciding they could keep doing it and he inspired a generation that it was cool again to do that.

When your defense is a pivot to whataboutism with Hamas....

That was probably the best time to see them, before the hard drugs took over. The Knebworth show in either 79 or 80 was their curtain call and a peak where they could have gone if Bonham didn’t die. That’s out there to watch.

Week Seventeen: Detroit Lions (11-4) @ Dallas Cowboys (10-5)

Ford is a publicly traded company with shareholders to answer to and a board of directors. She has no position in the company. It’s not a family run business. Ford advertised with the NFL becaise it’s good business to do so. To threaten that because a family member is unhappy about their own business could open the door to shareholder lawsuits. They don’t give a **** about the Lions. They want the stock price to go up and dividends paid. -

I know she has it in her because I know of a long time employee who was let go after she took over, along with dozens of others. They basically went through the offices cleaning house. These weren't football ops people. I suspect it was a lot of dudes just chilling out and coasting along in cushy jobs with no accountability. -

I was thinking about this last night as I had Valenti's show on briefly and they were sticking up for the morning host, and for Dan Campbell inviting "The Question". Basically saying the media's soft now and questions like the morning show asked are considered "controversial". The media today is basically partners with the leauge. THey are all business partners. The franchises, the TV networks, and the press. They have to protect the NFL brand. Some criticism will slip through, like Rex Ryan, but they will monitor how much. Will the NFL Good Old Boys listen to "a girl"? -
this is footage from Zeppelin's show at the Silverdome. Recently remastered footage from an 8MM camera and synced up with audio. It's all over the place in terms of songs but still amazing to watch. So little quality live footage and sound of this band exists.
