This disussion reminds me of the circular logic Jim Bouton complained about in Ball Four. The coaches always had an answer anytime a situation didn't go their way. Any time a hitter succeeded the pitcher was told "You can't throw that pitch in this situation." The old adage... "throw strikes but don't give them anything to hit" "Work the count..... but don't give away pitches". Ok. So when a guy like Tork swings at a 1st pitch FB and flys out it's "You can't just go after on the first pitch and let him off the work. Make him work". If he hits a HR it becomes "Look at that! He jumped all over a meatball"

agree. Even last year when "struggling" he was still smoking the ball for outs. I don't see that to the same degree this year.

It's a bitch to drive thru though. Made the trek to TN 3 weeks ago. I used to hate driving through Ohio as a kid but as a driver I kind of like it. Once you get thru Toledo then you can relax and put the cruise control on and it's just you and some truckers. Then as you approach Dayton then fun begins and I hate that more than the rest of the state. There's always construction and getting across the river is a pain.

I read a rumor that Comcast is pushing to move the channel to a new tier, that's the crux of the dispute. I recently upgraded my package and got access to MLB/NHL/NFL network along with some others like IFC, Sundance, Paramount... so I wonder if that's where they want to put Bally's.

Harris just needs to go to the GM store and trade in his 4 players worth 12 points total for a couple worth 6-8 points each. this season was all about finding out if these guys could play. It was a transition year. Fans bought into the hype of prospect lists and assumed a 1:1 draft pick would be an all star. That’s not how baseball works.

Ha. The part at the end where she’s like “no we don’t want them to feed us but we don’t want them to violently stop food from coming in”. Now I remember why I hated my peers in the early 90s. They were once protesting “globalism” and Starbucks wisely handed out free coffee so there they are on the front page of the student’s right wing paper blasting global corporations while holding a cup with the corporate logo. I really detest the in game promotion of the bets. Not just a commercial but in the middle of the action one of the on air staff has to tell us how the players are doing relative to a promoted bet. It makes me angry.
