  1. Jesus/Guns/Babies... also, buy my pillows. What a fucking shit show.
  2. spoiler..... When Wyatt died, Ruth died. At that point she was like the soldier in band of brothers who just rationalized the experience there as "We're dead already. Just accept it."
  3. it overshadowed a great scene to me when they flashed back to Ruth and her family singing John Prine... when I saw the episode title I had the song in my head the whole time.
  4. He was on Crossfire, he replaced Buchanan I believe. There was a video I saw, not sure if here or on the twitter, from 2003 where he was blasting O'Reilly for selling out and going into a character. Seriously.
  5. My special needs son is obsessed with Fox News. He always has it on. At 8 pm is when he goes into his room for th night and he has Tucker on. It’s ridiculous. Every cliche. It’s as bad as you think. Constant stream of hate and victimization.
  6. Reading the replies… how can people be against ranch? Ranch and garlic sauce go on anything. Anything.
  7. “That’s why games take 4 and a half hours. “
  8. I know... it's frustrating. It gives the impression the 2nd booster for 50 and over was just lip service... like 'ok fine go ahead.... if it makes you feel better'. If they think it does offer some more protection then what's the harm? it can't be due to them waiting on a better vaccine in a month or so can it?
  9. 30 pounds per inch is what they say
  10. even in that picture he looks like he's going to cry over the fact
  11. MCS might appreciate this but the intersection of Telegraph and Van Born, going west on Van Born... the light stays green for 5 seconds. I counted. It's especially aggravating for me because my special needs son gets very very upset if the lights turn red too soon. LIke Rain Man mad. When we go to my mom's house that's how I go. Construction on Telegraph is bad. It's a Sunday around 12:30 so traffic isnt heavy.... but you know I am scoping out the cars as I approach the intersection trying to judge the idiots. Light turns green and inevitably someone either just simply takes their foot off the brake and starts coasting along, instead of flooring it like you are supposed to do, or they are looking at their texts. So then 2 or 3 cars can't make it through because Alyssa just had to see that tiktok video.
  12. More of that please... I want to see what that guy said now.
  13. Looks likes someone stumbled upon some sweet vintage p0rn and then got a little jealous.
  14. The reason the Ivermectin thing took off among the right wing kooks is because they needed something to stand out and be noticed. The whole dogma of that world is to be a victim and pretend you know the real truth and everybody else is lying. They are the modern day flat earthers. The more you speak out against them the firmer their stand is. It's a world of grifters and they have the gullible roped in.
  15. every single light i am stopped at, if I am in my truck, I look around and half the people are playing on their phones. pay attention now to when the light turns green and it takes longer for everyone to pass through. Because 2 or 3 of the people in line are looking at their phone and don't notice the light turns green.
  16. @pfife for you.
  17. I think it was but post MAGA I don’t think so.
  18. occassionally the the priest at mass will venture into "taboo" topics but I know from conversations and social media that half the people listening are silently rolling their eyes. I guess you could say it was "easy" to go and experience things. Didn't require anything. The things I did do were out of service because I enjoyed it and saw it as serving the community as much of a church. Being involved allowed me to see the real benefit to doing these things for people who needed it.
  19. well then she should know!
  20. they know they are lying and being hypocrites and their supporters know that too. It simply doesn't matter anymore. As long as that person's side is winning. The argument made before doesn't matter to the argument made today. Our political world is a new thing now. Old rules don't apply.
  21. are other teams experiencing similar, of not as much, injury issues? I won't discount a rushed spring training.
  22. So did mine but it wasn't clear whether it was from covid or the vaccine. I got my first boost in mid Oct and gave blood in mid March. I'll get another one as soon as they let me.
  23. It is sad that the Catholic Church hasn't effectively dealt with their history. It's a large organization and those things move at a snail's pace. But individually a parish can be a remarkable thing. I'm not catholic but my wife is and we've raised our kids in the church and I still go with her. I've coached sports teams all through that time. We have a church festival, or did, before the pandemic. There is a real sense of community. We had a co ed softball team. We have a food pantry to serve the community. A scouting program. In a lot of ways they make people feel welcome and everything is fine. It was certainly a million times better than the fundamentalist church I grew up in. There's nothing creepy about my experiences. In the other church I always had this uneasy feeling that I was about to be led to a sales pitch of some sort. Always loaded questions.
