I knew that only b/c I never saw their mayors referenced on Fox News. If they were democrats it would be all they talk about. They're focus now is some Murtaugh murder.... like they are Court TV
-
They'll blame a "woke" prosecutor or something.

I expect Fox News to report on how bad things are in Ron DeShantis's Florida? Wasn't he just up on in NY bragging about FL's lack of crime?
-
if those reporters had guns though.....

I left right as the rotisserie became a thing. Boston Market caused a shockwave to that industry. But a few months of that taught me how to tie and cut up a bird. I also lost about 15 pounds from eating that chicken along with the rice that was also new. I threw it all away by going to deliver pizzas.

Pete Davidson is the modern day Greg Allman... an ugly dude that certain women are attracted to. -
LBJ wasn’t that keen on HHH either. He preferred him over Nixon only slightly.
-
He claimed to have gotten a lot more “tail” as he put it than JFK and was jealous of that reputation he had.

This is one of the last photos of LBJ. I believe his last public appearance was at Truman’s funeral, which was about a month before he died.

Yes. You drain it into the contraption then hose it back in, running it thru the filter. We would drain it every few days into these massive steel “buckets” that would weigh about 40 pounds. Grab some towels and carefully carry out to the grease bin. Those were the general deep dryers. Done once a day. The high pressure ones for original recipe would be filtered every cycle. Drain it. Scrape off the sides to get rid of the goop. Filter it back up. And yeah every so often you had to scoop out some or the “cracklings” as we called it and give it to the gravy person. That was the crap left behind by filtering. The mashed potatoes and gravy was usually made by a 14 year old who could only work 3-4 hours. pretty sure we weren’t supposed to be doing some of this stuff at the ages of 16-17.

I know right? That left Nixon with no predecessors. Very rare. I looked it up once but forgot who else beyond Adams when Washington died. but Johnson chain smoked after leaving office and that likely expedited his death.

Interesting read. It's been 50 years since a Democratic President died. A reflection of JFK/LBJ's early deaths (46 and 63), Carter's longevity (98), and the transition to baby boomer Presidents Clinton and Obama, who pretty much bookend the accepted defined baby boomer range.

What a dummy. I didn't watch any of her videos but just from the clips I think she was getting off on the attention.

I had two connections for good seats. My wife worked at McDonald's in HS and college, she was in charge of birthday parties. A regular customer was an usher down by the visiting bullpen. He told her to have us come see him and he'd put us in good seats. I also had a neighbor who ran our local little league. His wife was Bill Lajoie's secretary. He'd periodically give us seats underneath the TV booth. That must have been where scouts were given seats because every time we'd be near a guy with a gun and notebook. I particularly remember seeing Lou hit an inside the park HR.

Noyd, Forris, and Bullmer is how I remembered the trio we got during DD's final days.

My food prep experience was limited to a KFC in HS and doing some pizza work in college when I delivered. I would come in sometimes in the mornings to make all the dough for a few hours, go home and go back to bed, then go to class or drive in the evening. But as a 17-19 year old at KFC I look back and can't believe the time management skills and dexterity I acquired. For a few hours every night it was go go go. Our owner was very cool. We got paid for 7 hours regardless. We could get that kitchen cleaned up as if it were brand new, then sit outside in the parking lot listening to our radios and hanging out with our friends, american graffiti style. Full of grease, chicken fat/blood.... we felt like coal miners having a beer after our shift.

Yes. It was like being in jail. As kids we would join the Pepsi Tiger Fan Club and get tickets to a handful of games. We would explore the stadium's bowels. At one point we made it near the clubhouse. A guy yelled at us and we ran away. That was back when they let kids be kids. Just some old dude would yell at you with a few cuss words and you got the message. No cops. No parents. No hurt feelings.

Chris Ilitch is in the best shape of his life.

Musk has entered the Michael Jackson/Elvis phase of having too much fame and wealth and being surrounded by Yes Men. He obtained all the material and physical satisfaction that money can buy in terms of toys and the flesh. Now he need to get his "high" from something else as the other things bore him.

Flair came close to joining the WWF in 1988. I think summerslam was going to be his intro. -
Have family who's parents were in a camp. The oldest son was born in it and came over as a baby when the parents were able to get out, served in Vietnam, and just a few years ago after many years of hassles became a citizen. It's unreal the paperwork he had to go thru after putting on a uniform. At one point the paperwork was sent back because the date format was wrong, dd-mm-yyyy instead of mm-dd-yyyy. And it wasn't even a confusing one, the days were higher than 12. Anyone could have figured it out that was paying attention. paper pushers.

Except she always has some prune ones in there. I just don't get it. Nobody eats prunes because they want to. "But that's what we had when I was a little girl and I was raised by parents and aunts/uncles who grew up in the depression"

Having a polish mother in law and a son with a girlfriend who's whole family was born in Poland means I'm getting the good stuff...

I could easily pick up a station out of Chicago, (1000 AM?) in the 90's and sometimes if it were a clear night a station out of St. Louis. KMOX?
