  1. Every list I've seen by the Twitter Tiger prospect watcher class (ie. the Rogelio Castillo, Trevor Hooth types) seems to put him in the 12-13 range. Seems low to me as well The Pipeline list (which I believe Sam Dykstra does for the Tigers) is a good baseline... they aren't perfect, other outlets may be better, but on top of likely having more info, they don't have "Blue and Orange" glasses when curating, meaning more objectivity. And they have Santana at 4...maybe that changes in their post draft rerank some, but I doubt he leaves Top 10. I don't care if people do lists one way or another, it is all in good fun. But its important to put into context... BP or MLB Pipeline are likely going off more info and curate a list from a place of objectivity
  2. Don't have nearly enough information either, but on the surface, I'd have a hard time not putting Jung at #1, ahead of Jobe. MLB Pipeline kinda backs that up, as they have Jung as a 60 overall and Jobe at 55 overall. Colt Keith has been great this season when healthy, but I don't think he's a #1. Guessing he'll crack the Pipeline Top 10 when they rerank, but more like 7 or 8
  3. Keith has been great, but #1 seems high to me.
  4. Would be idiotic, but on brand lol
  5. My occasional drive between here and Chicago a few weeks ago was the same... people seem to have largely put the flags and signs away for now anyway
  6. Maybe the Yanks will come a-calling
  7. Wenceel with a dong to send Erie's game to extras as well...
  8. Blue Jays have dropped 27 on the Red Sox tonight lol
  9. Also a AAAA guy who is better than Keuchel lol. At the end of the day, this thread exists only because of a version of Keuchel that is no longer operable.
  10. Not at all. I don’t blame them at all for letting Chase Anderson leave. He's a AAAA guy. My only point is that Keuchel is actually worse IMO
  11. "Can't make it up folks!!!"
  12. If the Tigers claimed Keuchel, would it be the right thing to do?
  13. Easy for me to say, but you can't just bubble wrap your pitchers because a season is lost... they need to find out what they have with Manning, as well as Rony, ElRod and Hill. Or even Turnbull if he gets starts in September, etc. Claiming Keuchel gets in the way of that I would add as well that the Tigers let Chase Anderson opt out of his deal with Toledo because he wasn't getting promoted... if this team felt they were in a position to claim Keuchel, they wouldn't have let Anderson walk. Because, like Hutchison, while his track record isn't as good as Keuchel, he's probably better than Keuchel at this point in his career
  14. Along with Michael, Jake Miller seems like an underslot guy to me, among the remaining first 9 picks. I kinda have no clue whether Jung will be interested in rounding down to the nearest 100k lol
  15. He was a good candidate for a discount given his age...
  16. Anybody we think may not sign? On the surface, Dom Johnson looks like a guy who probably needs to be an overslot or risk going back to school. But I could be wrong.
  17. Yeah, this is right. This season has been a shit show, but still have to keep in mind that individual games may not in and of themselves capture the overall trend for certain players.
  18. 12 hours on, I still think the outtakes video where he couldn't say "yesterday" really sticks with me the most. It has nothing to with cognition and everything to do with making the statement as ambiguous as possible. Which is disgusting.
  19. A lot of time between then and now, but if he does win, it'll be interesting to see some of the underlying shifts against the 2020 Presidential Election, or how he does versus the Shapiro in the Governors race in 2022, to see if there's some underlying strength in working class areas of Pennsylvania. Places like Scranton or Johnstown or Erie.... if he makes some marginal improvements over Biden percentage wise. Or even just in rural counties more broadly. I think he can win, perhaps is even favored at this point, but it's a question of whether he does it using the typical formula for Dems these days (ie. the suburbs) or if he can add in some numbers from other areas which have trended away from Ds. If he does, it looks like a model that Ds can run with going forward.
  20. The Fabrizio poll stands out, that's Trump's pollster.
  21. To make the joke again, hypothetically, we could see him again someday 😮
  22. Oh no doubt, the offense has been terrible all year, but with Riley in particular, I just don't see anything that he's done so far that suggests he's far off the mark from expectations given he's only 29 games into his career. Can't really say the same for Tork, who struggled from Day 1 and never seemed to want to adjust his swing to major league pitching.
  23. I don't think Riley is in any danger of being sent to Toledo at this point.... he's holding his own.
