  1. Come on.... it's clearly Door #1.
  2. It'd be nice if some of these cash considerations could be used on picking up something useful
  3. I think this is right. Maybe Paredes ends up the better end of the trade. Very well could considering the conditional draft pick, tbh. But I'd rather see how it plays out going forward, at least into next year, before rendering a judgment.
  4. Meadows' cost per production is irrelevant to me... I do believe, even now, he is capable of holding up his end of the trade.
  5. He only had 23 games, 72 plate appearances last year in 162 games last year. He's been in 31 games, 86 plate appearances through 68 games this year. He never had the runway he needed to get off the ground here, he's getting more runway this year. That seems like a significant factor to me.
  6. Andre Lipcius had a big night for Erie as well, 3/4, 2B, 4 RBI... always forget about him, but he's picked it up lately
  7. The past four or so games kinda give you the contours of what next year could look like offensively. But, since we've talked about him a lot tonight, beara mentioning that they really need Meadows back and producing.
  8. No doubt, I agree...
  9. To be fair, you could easily point to Chafin giving up the dong to Vazquez.
  10. Cora going to get Schreiber and his slider for Baez
  11. Roboumps yesterday
  12. Gregory Soto for the 6th inning, whos with me? lol
  13. That's when you get the comments about the quality of the Mexican League....
  14. All the beat writers tripping overthemselves to retweet Paredes big night tonight (including Stavenhagen) all seemed to be on the same page with the FO as well.
  15. That would have required a different GM. I'm not kidding, I don't think he was getting the opportunity he needed here.
  16. Sure. Hence the Old Testament luck. But it's similar to the ERod thing where people are already calling him Jordan Zimmermann. It's kinda tiring and each of these guys, all under control for multiple years, will have opportunities to turn it around. As for Paredes, this org was never gonna give him the runway that he needed for better or worse. I'm glad that he landed somewhere where he's more valued.
  17. My real criticism of the focus on Paredes is that its now basically assumed that Meadows is toast. He has had a rough, almost Old Testament like start to the year in terms of luck. But I still think he is capable of holding up his end of the trade. Either way, I'm happy for Paredes. Good for him
  18. He would have been in AAA up until Candy got injured. And probably sent down shortly thereafter
  19. Probably helps that Brieske has pitched better than Faedo did yesterday too.
  20. Good for him... he'd probably have zero if he were with this ballclub
  21. Would it be too much to ask for a little run support for Bill Brasky?
  22. Man, these Sox hitters always wear out the Tigers lol
