  1. No, not 100%. He was pretty bad at player development. And he had really high draft choices. But he did make some good moves and deserves some credit for the Tigers recent success. And I'm really not sure if Chris is putting payroll limits on Harris. If he is, wasting 15 million dollars is even more huge. Limited resources means getting free agent signing right. Torres seemed to have worked out but he kinda fell olin the Tigers lap. I mean, 2nd base wasn't a huge need at the time, the Torres signing came out of nowhere. But again, Harris has done a very good job at rebuilding our weak farm system. Hopefully, some of those players will soon help us.
  2. I wish they could have signed Matthew Boyd. 2 years at 15m per season. Instead, wasted 15m on Alex Cobb. The upside on both players really favored Boyd, Cobb was planning to retire until all that money was thrown at him.
  3. Looking around, Avila's "mess" has us in the playoffs the last 2 seasons in spite of the Harris mistakes. Alex Cobb? 15 million dollars wasted on a team with limited resources. Maeda? Trading for a 41 year old Morton? Or acquiring Paddack? A reject from a bottom feeder team? The Twins garbage. Harris has done a very good job rebuilding our empty farm system but I would never say he's done a good job with the major league team. His lack of bringing in talent thru trades or signing quality free agents is his biggest weakness. Say what you want about Avila but the foundation of the ML team is players he brought in.
  4. When my doc told me rotator cuff tear, I asked him if I needed surgery. He looked at me like I was crazy and said rotator cuff surgery was very rare. Yeah, rare for a 65 year old. Not for a 21 year old pitcher...lol
  5. It used to be said that defense wins championships. I guess not so much anymore ..
  6. I had/have a slight tear in my rotator cuff. It's very minor. And the pain is horrible as well as absolutely no strength in it. I can't even imagine a complete tear. Anyway, it's been 3 months and it's finally getting better. Of course, I'm not a young stud athlete....just an old grumpy sports fan. 🤣🤣
  7. Is MCDC playing 3D chess 3 steps ahead of everyone? Think about it...the Lions destroy teams after we get beaten by them. Call the game a grudge match. So when Detroit plays Philly in the NFC Championship game, we'll have an edge. I could see a Detroit Buffalo Super Bowl. And we owe Buffalo a beating.... Anyway, thats my theory and I'm sticking to it. 😅😅
  8. Pretty good Daniss Jenkins article; https://detroitjockcity.com/daniss-jenkins-emergence-forcing-pistons-make-tough-decision-01k9yz57m8wk
  9. And they're also winning. 8 out of 10? 5 in a row? Impressive. I hate to ruin their streak...😅
  10. Pickens for Dallas did the same goalpost hump that Jamo did. He also got a 15 yard unsportmanlike penalty. What the heck is wrong with these guys?
  11. Trae Young usually kills us i didnt know he was out
  12. The Lions aren't in the playoff picture now. But after a loss we come back strong. We're going to smoke the Giants...
  13. I would feel sorry for the Pacers but.....naw...
  14. Speaker Johnson sure gets a lot of exercise whenever asked a question. He practically runs away...🤣🤣
  15. And BTW, Grok knows agent penalties for cheating (tampering)
  16. Sense? I'm not into conspiracy theories. So in your world, Boras is shopping Skubal around to the Dodgers, Yankees, Mets and other teams while he's under contract with the Tigers and nobody will ever rat him out? Wow...I guess the moon landing was fake too? 🤣🤣
  17. No, you're right. Every agent shops players under contract around to all the teams that spend big. Nobody follows the rules and everybody cheats. Does that make sense to you? SMH
  18. Watching that DPI video to end the game, I agree, the Lions probably wouldn't have scored. But that doesn't change the fact that the refs totally blew another call. No way was that defensive pass interference. These refs should be fined or fired for totally blowing calls like this. Next time it could just as easily be earlier in the game.
  19. If I were a gambler, I would bet on the Lions to destroy the Giants next week. The Lions usually rebound strongly after a loss.
  20. How did Philly lose 2 games? To the Giants no less.
  21. Refs saved the Lions more offensive embarrassment. 😉😉
  22. And very little depth. Most fans knew that. It's why I was hoping for a trade or two.
  23. That pass rush is the difference in this game.
  24. This defense played good enough to win.
