Strikeout pitchers from the past in today's game would strikeout an unbelievable amount of hitters. Players didn't strikeout as much in the 50's and 60's. So the pitchers who were leading the league would have many more strikeouts in today's game. Or... maybe not...🤔🤔
The kid has the start of the day off. A good LH bat to come off the bench with the bases loaded, one out and down by a run in the 8th inning. After he hits a bases clearing double, he can take off the rest of the day. 😅
If somebody would have told me that day that someday Porcello would pitch for the Red Six (and win a Cy Young), I would have thought they were crazy. Hey, he's still only 38 years old, give him a call...😅😅
I thought it was a typo...Crochet...with a 7.58 ERA. But then I saw the Twins lit him up for 10 Earned Runs in 1.2 innings. Hopefully, we dont get a mad Crochet...
I'll miss the end of this game with the Piston playoffs starting at 6:30. With the Boston SP going against our LH hitters, it may be ugly. Maybe Lee will get another chance? Hope he's settled down and the game slows down for him.
He isnt a typical rookie. Its fine, we just dont agree that playing in front of 6000 people in Toledo is the same as playing in front of 35,000 people at Fenway Park. Opinions are like noses, everyone has one. 😆
Playing in front of 8000 people in Toledo is much different than playing in your ML debut in historic Fenway Park in front of 35,000 fans. That really can't be disputed.
I've heard RH hitters say that wall gets in their head and they change their swing. Tork seems like the type of hitter that would really let that wall get in his head.
