I was wondering why they changed starters. The new SP, Latz, has only gone 3 innings in his most recent starts. He'll throw 7 shutout innings against us. 😔😔

Most of the injuries haven't been at practice, but on gameday. Last year was just a freaky amount of players going down.

Riley swings from his heels. A very long swing. Sometimes he hits the ball and it goes a long ways. But he'll end up striking out around 200 times this year, IF he stays healthy.

Home plate umpire gives a Texas hitter a 3-0 count to hit a home run. The Tigers need to beat the umpires, it's pretty obvious. Gambling money makes every bad call questionable. I sure used to like baseball, it's turned into Big Time Wrestling.

Over his last 3 games, Kahnle has given up 9 eraned runs in a total of 1 inning pitched. He's about unusable.

The Tigers haven't won since July 9th.

Umpires should be fined when they call a play wrong. And the lead umpire fined double if it isn't corrected. Just an opinion.

The next 13 games will tell us a lot. Texas and Pittsburgh have very good home records, and then we play red hot Toronto in a 4 game series in Detroit. Then on to Philly to face a NL powerhouse. If we can go 7-6, I'll take it. But our BP is going to need to step up.

The only way they can have home wild card games is if they either win the East as the 3rd best division winner or be the #1 wildcard team? I think...

At the end of 9 innings of a tie game, fans need to walk out. That would send a message. It wouldn't matter but...whatever.

The solution to the extra innings issue at an All Star game is really simple. Both teams get a 2 pitcher taxi squad named to the team after teams are selected. Only emergency extra inning pitchers. Not allowed to pitch in the 1st 9 innings. If, after 11 inning and the game still tied, each league gets to name 3 players for a home run swing off. Any players are eligible, even if they've been removed from the game. This is the reason we didn't get to see Judge or Cal Raleigh, among others.

I don't understand why teams who are having a down year would wanna trade quality players. They'll need those players to compete next season. Unless they'll be free agents anyway, may as well get something better than a comp draft choice.

I don't really know most of those players or how highly touted the Tiger prospects are. Jung I know, not greatly impressed. Maybe he'll get better.

I saw an article that said the Tigers should acquire Bednar. It showed his good secondary stats that say hes a good pitcher who just had a couple of bad outings.

Weren't the Tigers below .500 at last year's trade deadline? Our schedule coming out of the All Star break looks...alarming?
