    My opinion is if you have a dominant defense and an average offense, go ahead and defer. With the Lions offense? Take the ball, score and play with a lead. I see too many crummy teams defer and when they get the ball first in the 2nd half, they're down multiple scores. Take the ball....

    Chargers take the opening kick and get a TD drive. It's why I'm against deferring the opening kick. All game long, teams desperately try to get the ball. To just give away a possession doesn't make sense. Just so a team <may> get back to back possessions? It doesn't make sense if you're playing catch up from the start. Take the ball every chance you get...

    There was a play last night where LA fumbled and the ball was recovered by Philly. The refs ruled it incomplete. So the Rams hurried to the line of scrimmage and ran a play. The refs THEN decided to honor the red flag the Philly coach threw. They then ruled it a fumble and gave the ball to Philly. After the Rams had already ran a play. Officials suck.

    I agree. That grand slam in Seattle (?) was amazing. 2 out in the 9th inning with the bases loaded? Opposite field too!

    Meadows was usually hitting much lower in the lineup against LH pitchers. And Hinch mostly wanted him for his CF glove. Even though Parker seemed to be able to hit those LH pitches.

    That's what happens when you trade draft picks and players get hurt. It hurts the depth on the roster. But a Super Bowl team from last season sure fell quickly. The injury to McCaffrey really hurt.
