I agree - trust Harris and Greenberg. On the Foul Territory podcast last eve, Cody said he spoke with several other gms and he got feedback from multiple people that Harris is difficult to deal with, too hard line. That is probably an area Harris needs to grow into.
I agree, and he was in a 1-22 slump in the midst of the Det series. I might have gone as hi as Max Anderson, but not higher. I think odds are he will regress
Per Baltimore fans, they're mostly saying Morton has been solid the past 2-3 months. He has a lot of post season experience. And in his prime, one of the best breaking balls.
I would have liked to see an added bat, but I do trust Harris.
Per mlb.tv Cleveland said they are not offering up Kwan, and would have to be blown away with an offer. I would think that probably starts with Clark. I love Kwan, but I don't see Harris offering a "blow em away" trade.
Change of scenery definitely helping Andrew Vaughn so far. In 15 games with the Brewers he is hitting .375 with 5 HR and 21 RBI. Shelton-esque, or possibly legit? I remember AA was interested in him. Iirc he was drafted earlier than Riley Greene.
Gleyber has been consistent with his approach all season. Even with the glut of middle infielders in the minors, I'd like to see him remain a Tiger. He's so young. He could remain an above average player for the next 5-6 years. I'd almost rather see Harris spend money that way, rather than 400+ on Skubal
I've read a half dozen places today that Detroit is still in on Suarez. BTW, x-rays from today are negative. He is in a 1-21 swoon. Historically he's been prone to long slumps. In fact, 2025 is the first time his ops has been. 800+ in 5 years. I'd think Max Anderson would likely be the headliner that Harris is offering. We'll find out soon.
