  1. But he didn't win. That's the point I'm making. He skated in once, but he didn't do it again, he won't be able to do it again (unless he can figure out how to steal the election), and Musk would never be able to do it. I see no way someone who is disgusted with Trump—which is most people—come back around and say, gee, I was wrong about Trump, I like the cut of his jib after all.
  2. Comforting though this might be, I have my doubts as to whether this is immutable law. Someone somewhere is going to turn this assumption on its ear.
  3. Wait until this Supreme Court reinterprets the First Amendment to extend responsibility for it beyond just government to media. Wouldn't that be a great day for America.
  4. I'm mildly surprised that MTG didn't just shout down Rep. Garcia during his admonition of her attack on the witness, that she just sat silently for it. Or maybe I should be surprised by myself for actually expecting to hear it and being surprised that it didn't happen. The norm of allowing other representatives to speak unimpeded is another one that might get busted at some point. Someone like an MTG would just need to volunteer to take a few bruises for being the first to do it, but after that, it would get easier and easier until there's no penalty for it at all.
  5. This is why Russian-wing media are going ape**** over phantom violent attacks by trans people on freedom-loving Americans or something.
  6. "Apparatchiks". Perfect.
  7. Which I think demonstrates the sheer power of being outnumbered. I don't believe that goes unchallenged on a 5-4 court, in either direction.
  8. I agree with you, but even setting that aside, too many people know too much about Musk to give him a majority to elect him president. Granted, I thought everyone knew all about Trump in 2016, too, and I was wrong then, but I don't think I'm wrong this time, and I think we have seven years of Trump to thank for opening people's eyes.
  9. I don't see why I should be horrified.

    MAP PR0N!

I had no idea Dunkin’ is more popular in Illinois, although I do wonder whether this is locations or sales, because there are a lot of little Dunkin’ kiosks around the big city, anyway.
  12. I think it’s impossible. I think Musk is well known to be a toxic personality to too many people to win a presidential election, and I think, ironically, we have Trump to thank for that.
  13. I will be interested in seeing how Scott Harris works this deadline.
  14. I know they got good and injured the past few years, but man, did they ever blow this window.
  15. I too am interested in seeing how Harris drafts with the third pick, but I am also very interested in seeing how he drafts from the second round on.
  16. Oh well. Sometimes you do the work, and sometimes the work does you.
  17. That’s for next year TORK! to worry about. This year TORK! got work to do.
  18. Lorenzen back out for the fifth. Maybe it’s bullpen euchre night.
  19. The dissipation of Michale Lorenzen’s career continues apace.
  20. Although it’s not so beautiful that Javy, who just now got hot, will be out for a couple of months with a broken hand.
  21. Greetings from beautiful Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
