Worth noting that, similar to Texas, the success of this map in 2026 (at least) hinges pretty heavily on the gains Trump made with Hispanic voters in 2024 being realized going forward. And that's absolutely not a guarantee in this environment.

We can hope it will backfire on them, but then the reality of DJT and other MAGA's will turn and make up something about ballot tampering. They will point out a late big dump of ballots somewhere, when in reality a lot of those districts always have been late deciders. Even in Red districts

This is why I’m thinking their strategy might be to not to stop the election beforehand as some people believe, something the American people are not close to being ready to accept, but to tie up the results in court instead, to the point which Congress will not be ready (or willing) to seat representatives on January 3, and we would be without a Congress for an indefinite period of time. (lol, I know big loss.) That, or Republicans might refuse to accept the results of Democratic wins, Mike Johnson will still claim speakership, he will seat a quorum of Republicans, including election losers, in order to act as a rubber stamp for Trump for as long as they can manage to (i.e., an “anticongress”). Either way, it would solidify the unitary power of Trump and lead to who knows what after that.

After 29 years in the position, the Minnehaha County sheriff is not seeking re-election, so we know how many ****s he has left to give up there. All they have to do is delay delay delay until there's a new sheriff in town, someone with something to lose, to get the charges dropped.

These guys are just so ****ing ballsy. They must figure if they train a firehose of garbage of dubious constitutionality at the courts, some things will slip through because the courts can’t stop everything—there’s just too much.

….. and it won’t even matter.

This is where we are now. The cognitive dissonance is so extreme at this point that none of this has any effect anymore.

I truly hate to disagree with you, Sue, but there is no cognitive dissonance among red hats about this because they literally never hear about this in their media.
