Fox News is pretty much the American standard news network now, so it's not surprising that a business establishment would select them. Quote

CMRivdogs Posted yesterday at 04:47 PM Posted yesterday at 04:47 PM For whatever reason those of us who don't normally watch Faux don't raise a fuss when we see it on in a business. We notice and file it away in our memory banks for future business. Faux fans on the other hand tend to complain. 1 Quote

It’s a bad sign when you go into a business and it’s on. They lack discernment. Quote

No doubt, I am turned off when I see Fox TV in any establishment. It depends on your target audience. Others are offended by MSNBC. I think if I had a business, I would not put ANY news channel on display, but I am definitely not a businessman, so what do I know? Quote

The automatic assumption that it’s “real news” is offensive. 1 Quote

oblong Posted yesterday at 06:56 PM Posted yesterday at 06:56 PM I've never been to those... are they legit grimey or Livonia grimey? There's a Carter's near me that is..... something. And there's Motz's in Rouge or Ecorse. I have an anti-elitist take on things in Lilly White Livonia. Yeah it's cute to pretend but come one. Once at our office in Dearborn they tried sending over a middle eastern place from Northville or whatever and... let's just say I got a better Fattoush salad from a gas station on Warren. 1 Quote

It’s a tradition. I can’t express why it matters. Just its memory. Maybe that my first stomach ache in my life was because i had a milk shake and french fries from there back 50+ years ago. It’s cherished for that as much as the shared memories from friends and family. I love it. My Texas and New York relatives seem to love it too. Quote

The party stores and gas stations here sometimes have good food. There is a party store called Alasmer that has really good pizza that's cheap. I quit going there because the owner drives a Tesla. 1 Quote

Screwball Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Nothing like a White Castle just as the sun is starting to come up after a night traveling an hour to a night at the horse races, then a strip club, and about 5 bars in between. Hookers in front of the White Castle. Early 70s. Toledo, Ohio. Quote
CMRivdogs Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Re: Faux News. Several years ago pre COVID I had a customer come to the information booth at the McNamara's DTW Terminal and asked why the airport was showing CNN on their video screens. I told him it was probably because CNN outbid Faux for the rights to do so. He was flummoxed Quote
