Was at Leon’s in Livonia today and was charmed by their Ukraine colors 🇺🇦

then i see Fox News on the TV which was showing the WH press briefing on “A Return To Common Sense”

These people are deeply committed to the freedom of Ukraine enough to paint everything that way and can’t see this President is deeply beholden to their mortal enemy.

Fox News is pretty much the American standard news network now, so it's not surprising that a business establishment would select them.

For whatever reason those of us who don't normally watch Faux don't raise a fuss when we see it on in a business. We notice and file it away in our memory banks for future business. Faux fans on the other hand tend to complain.

It’s a bad sign when you go into a business and it’s on. They lack discernment.

No doubt, I am turned off when I see Fox TV in any establishment.  It depends on your target audience.  Others are offended by MSNBC.  I think if I had a business, I would not put ANY news channel on display, but I am definitely not a businessman, so what do I know?

The automatic assumption that it’s “real news” is offensive.

Was wondering if Bates in Livonia was back online after the fire.

I was at the one one Middlebelt which is technically Farmington Hills.  It’s a couple miles away from the one on 5 mile.

I've never been to those... are they legit grimey or Livonia grimey?

There's a Carter's near me that is..... something.  And there's Motz's in Rouge or Ecorse.

I have an anti-elitist take on things in Lilly White Livonia.  Yeah it's cute to pretend but come one.  Once at our office in Dearborn they tried sending over a middle eastern place from Northville or whatever and... let's just say I got a better Fattoush salad from a gas station on Warren.

So, Fox News is the mainstream news? You don’t say.

Trump appointed federal judge rules Trump cannot use wartime statute to disappear brown people to slave prisons.

Are they slaving there? I thought they were merely getting tortured.

It’s a tradition.  I can’t express why it matters.  Just its memory.  Maybe that my first stomach ache in my life was because i had a milk shake and french fries from there back 50+ years ago.

It’s cherished for that as much as the shared memories from friends and family.

I love it.  My Texas and New York  relatives seem to love it too.

The party stores and gas stations here sometimes have good food. There is a party store called Alasmer that has really good pizza that's cheap. I quit going there because the owner drives a Tesla.

... my first stomach ...

I got that when I first-time went to White Castle for burgers with my Dad. And then we went fishing on Lake St. Clair with my uncle and my cousin David. Rough waves. I think they came right back out relatively quickly...

Microsoft raised the price of the Xbox due to tariffs. The funny thing is you can get it cheaper in Canada now.

And what’s more they have Toys R Us in Canada because they aren’t ravaged by private equity rapists as badly as here.

Nothing like a White Castle just as the sun is starting to come up after a night traveling an hour to a night at the horse races, then a strip club, and about 5 bars in between. Hookers in front of the White Castle. Early 70s. Toledo, Ohio.

Re: Faux News. Several years ago pre COVID I had a customer come to the information booth at the McNamara's DTW Terminal and asked why the airport was showing CNN on their video screens.

I told him it was probably because CNN outbid Faux for the rights to do so. He was flummoxed
