I don’t want to come out ahead in that way. I would give it all back to at least go back to how it was. Quote

ewsieg Posted Thursday at 07:04 PM Posted Thursday at 07:04 PM As a fiscal conservative, I have never been against a bill that might cause pain, if it could provide a clear path to helping set up the next generation for success. This is the exact opposite of that. I purposefully tried to find conservative media's take on this and for the ones that talked about the nuts and bolts of this bill and not just the republican talking points, none of them liked this. Absolutely horrid. Quote

Absolutely horrid. All due respect, most of the rest of us could see very clearly that it was always coming to this, that it was only about the super rich getting the money and the rest of us getting the shaft. How many recent “respectable” Republican presidents (and Clinton) provided the uber-rich generous tax cuts while ballooning the deficit at the same time? It’s true—you can easily look it up. Here, I’ll even get you started on the first one: https://www.cbpp.org/research/the-legacy-of-the-2001-and-2003-bush-tax-cuts. The main thing that makes the Trump tax cuts different is that added feature of cruelty to poor people for sport. 1 Quote

The first prisoners at Auschwitz were told the only way out is through the chimney. Seems oddly similar. 1 Quote

If you aren’t the full package of white, male, Christian, cishet, ablebodied, neurotypical, wealthy, *and* 100% MAGA-loyal and compliant, you are completely and utterly expendable to the current US regime. They’ll use you if they are able, for their own benefit or to weaponize you against other Others, and if/when they can’t they’ll feed you to the gators, literally or metaphorically, without blinking. Don’t kid yourself that they won’t. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted Thursday at 11:33 PM Posted Thursday at 11:33 PM Based on the evidence, Garcia was running illegals into the country for his boss so I guess I'm just lost as to why I'm supposed to give a crap about him. Quote

So people say. Without being charged or even going to court, let's just throw him in a foreign prison? This argument doesn't hold water. Quote

That said, he was here illegally, had a final order of deportation and is on policy body cam with an envelope full of money and a vehicle full of illegals. He deserves little to no sympathy. Quote

Absolutely horrid. Even people with good insurance will feel the effects of this. Hospitals will be losing so much money, they'll be forced to shut down. MAGA doesn't realize that people won't be going to a primary doctor so their problems will get worse and worse. That will get them to emergency room where the law says they HAVE to be treated. And since they can't pay, the people who can pay will be forced to make up the difference. That $35 x-ray will be costing $300. IF they can find a hospital that isn't closed. It may be 100 miles away with a 5 hour wait. So good insurance? Kinda useless... Quote

God have mercy on their souls, because I do not. Edited Thursday at 11:48 PM by mtutiger Quote

I believe in humanity and have empathy, so even if he’s committed the things that he’s been accused of the cruel punishment doesn’t fit the crime. To not give a crap what happens to him is wrong. 3 1 Quote

But the court of public opinion was enough to send him to a foreign gulag. Yeah, America... Quote
