mtutiger Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago We can (and probably will) debate how much public opinion actually matters, but in terms of public opinion regardless, not only do I think the retribution stuff doesn't help how people view him, I think it actually does hurt. Particularly at a time when the public is souring on him due to his actions on just about every political issue of the day. And mark me down on saying that he'd be a idiot for ever going after the most popular political figure in the country. Quote

CMRivdogs Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago I guess we can start calling Trump a Socialist now...in fact the entire party is akin to 1950s-2000 USSR Thank you for your attention to this matter Quote

Nothing really. Basically a photo-op for the CNBC crowd. Quote

I don't think he's inheriting the base Quote
smr-nj Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I think it’s already just about too late to save this democracy. Pains me to say that. And , no, I don’t mean to stop fighting…. But the light I think I’m seeing at the end of the tunnel is looking more and more like a steam-rolling train barreling down on all of us, Quote

The CHIPS act alone sent around 8 billion to INTC, not counting the many more billions of .gov contracts via office, military, and defense contracts (the 17 spook agencies). All under some type of MIL spec to satisfy and protect our needs. We already control them in many ways. .gov owning - assuming this 10% is publicly traded common stock - is probably not a good idea. The pigmen are quite creative though, we must give them that. One of those political cartoon artist should do one with Trump as a young shoe shine boy telling his client it was the best time ever to buy stocks. That's an old market thing for those who don't follow. It's almost like the very same pigmen need someone to sell to. Giggle. Quote

I don’t know what the word “hurt” means at this point with regard to him and his presidency. They don’t care about legacy. They have the house and senate. The GOP won’t push back on him. What difference does his approval rating mean? Quote

Additionally there have been republicans that have openly talked off the record that they go along with Trump just so they can stop him if something serious happens. The republicans in Congress are much more aligned with Bolton. I’m not going to hold my breath though. Quote
