Mr.TaterSalad Posted September 30 Posted September 30 When I was a kid they used to teach us about George Wallace and the segregationists. Now, we get to know whet the world would have been like if George Wallace was elected President. Quote

Wallace seemed to be more a segregationist of convenience - from what I remember he became a fairly reasonable guy in later years once there was no political profit in the old racism. Trump is a racist to the core of his being and could never reform. He has no choice, it follows directly from his narcissism. If he's White, whites must be better, smarter etc. With Trump the further away from his identity you go, the less valuable a person must be, because only his attributes make a person valuable. It calls for Hamas to sign on to it's military demise, which they will give lip service to but never accede to except by force, and Netanyahu has already made clear that Israel is going to be supplying that force if they don't see Hamas dissolving to their liking. IOW, it doesn't change the status quo already on the ground. All these guys slapping themselves on the back is pretty much a Trump dog and pony show for a Nobel, but he'll get bored quickly with how much work getting any real change effected will be. Quote

Which would put it near Michigan and Wacker. It’s been way too long since I’ve been in that area. My first job in Chicago was on the other side of the bridge. The office was a closet in what we called the Paul Harvey building I think it might be Dearborn and Wacker. Definitely in the shadow of the ETTD Building. Edited September 30 by chasfh 1 Quote
smr-nj Posted September 30 Posted September 30 This morning rant to the summoned military is just another rehashing of the same old grievances. It never matters what his audience is comprised of, he petitions for the Novel Peace prize, ridicules Biden, blah blah blah. what’s the over under on how long this speech is going to take. Lol Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted September 30 Posted September 30 I generally don't like disparaging people because of their looks. It's rude and insensitive. But if Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is tired of having fat people oversee the military, he does realize that the Commander in Chief of the US Military that he serves under is, well, fat. Maybe start with a little diet and exercise for the President first? 1 Quote

CMRivdogs Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) If Joe Biden were giving this rambling speech, itd be treated as a four alarm fire in every newsroom in the country about his very obvious physical and mental decline. But because its Trump, they'll all mostly just shrug and move past it. Edited September 30 by CMRivdogs Quote

LOL - the Navy just got done writing off the bad investment on the DDG1000's AGS (advanced gun system) with the 'cheap' bullets that ended up costing $1,000,000 a piece before the project was scrapped. Any top brass who snarks back about Trump's fat is gonna get a one-way ticket to Twentynine Palms or Eielson Air Force Base or Guam. Edited September 30 by chasfh 1 Quote
