Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Any time Republicans want to utilize the option to break a filibuster proof majority they can do so. Any time they want to extend the ACA subsidies, they can vote to do so, and get Democrat votes to open the government. 1 Quote

The President of the United States, the one you voted for, said it is the responsibility of the President when a shutdown occurs. The blame falls on them. Trump is President, Republicans control every branch of government. They can use the nuclear option, remove the filibuster, and vote to open the government without a single Democratic vote. Considering the dozens and dozens of times the Trump Administration and Congressional Republicans have tried to end the ACA or repeal significant portions of it, I can't blame Democrats for finally showing some stones and standing up for something. They know damn well that the Republicans in Congress and Trump won't negotiate in good faith and may well not continue the ACA subsidies. Edited October 30 by Mr.TaterSalad 2 2 Quote
