The problem is that Trump doesn't know that during the most serious national emergencies in this country's history, (The Civil War, WWII) congressional elections were held as normal.   He won't know that because Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon will tell him whatever they need to tell him to get what they want.

I've looked at the journal this teen girl had which is entered into evidence.  I can't tell you from first glance if this is credible given how effective Russian intelligence is at forgery.  They wrote the original Protocols of the Elders of Zion back during the Czarist era and that has had a lasting impact on World History. 

What I will say is that it looks like something a teen would produce if she were in the situation of one of the Epstein victims.

That's what gets me. One thing I've learned is that for many in this country, kids are good for a photo op or a sound bite. When it comes to doing something that will actually help and/or protect them? They might as well be trash. 

And I will never understand the hate people have for people who don't look or have a different faith (even though there's a lot about organized religion that I don't understand). And what makes it worse is that they seem to enjoy the thought of other people being rounded up and even slaughtered.

I don't know if we can overcome this.

It’s because these people have no self esteem or confidence. Their entire existence and aura is centered around Trump. To give that up is to admit their’s is worthless.   They’d have nothing left. They went all in.

We will overcome it. Humans have always progressed or we would still be in caves. When we were in caves, it paid to hate others because they likely would kill you and steal your stuff. That's a very stressful way to live. 

The other extreme is to care about everything which is also a stressful way to live. The world is chaos and we really don't have much control so caring about the environment, people, animals, etc. can get overwhelming. 

I think most people are somewhere in the middle and that's what we should strive for. It helps address issues without extremes one way or another. That approach gave us women's rights and equal rights along with many other benefits. 

We saw in WW2 extremes are very bad. Now we are seeing the effects of extreme wealth and I think it would be a mistake to over correct. We do need to reestablish truth and justice though. Do Trump and his friends really want to live in a no holds barred world? They are not the brightest or strongest. They are the most privileged class in history.

I posted this in congressional elections thread a few weeks ago. I went back to review it, and I still think it all holds water.

The only thing I might add is that, in the month or two preceding the actual election, the Trump regime might dramatically soften their ground game when it comes to immigration, and also, do something dramatic to address consumer prices, maybe even send (or promise to send) a $1,000 check from the federal government in the names of their Republican congresspeople, or their Democratic congresspeople's Republican opponents, to sow doubt among independents and suppress their urgency to want to vote.

**** this. Biden isn't a dictator. It wasn't up to Biden to throw them in jail, regardless, over 1,000 January 6th insurrectionists were thrown in jail. The problem is, this is going to take generations. It's not going to all get undone in one term. People will have to vote for Democrats for the rest of their lives. It won't happen. They'll find some like age or a conflict half way around the world that doesn't involve US troops, to either not vote or vote for Republicans. Republicans literally held the Supreme Court hostage for nine months and that wasn't enough to vote for Clinton and now we want to add more when eventually Republicans will pick those justices too?
