Love the song...

But it got overplayed too much (to me) on WRIF so...

I switched to 10th Avenue Freezeout and Nebraska (entire album) and Spirit in the Night as my favorite Springsteen listen to's... I can handle Born to Run now and again as long as it doesn't become incessant again (on a playlist or otherwise...).

Yeah, I think it and Born in the USA were both a bit overplayed even though I still like both of them.

I've always had a special place in my heart for Badlands and Hungry Heart, though in recent years I've grown to like Streets of Philadelphia (even if the song at the end of the movie IS even better) and My Hometown.

Maybe it's because I have so many relatives from NJ? 😉

Kegbreath is running a tight ship

The musician known recently for his advocacy on behalf of President Donald Trump shared videos over the weekend showing a pair of military helicopters visiting his "Southern White House," a mansion outside Nashville modeled after the president’s residence in Washington, DC. In videos, Kid Rock saluted one of the choppers as it hovered near his pool. Army officials confirmed on March 30 they were investigating the incident.

"@USArmy pilots suspension LIFTED," Hegseth said in a statement hours after the Army had first confirmed the personnel involved in the incident were suspended. "No punishment. No investigation."

This story is really...the Gerald Ford had a massive fire that it couldn't put out because damage control has gone to **** in the Trump/Kegbreath Navy.  Trump was bragging to the Saudi Sovereign Wealth fund that the carrier had been hit by something even though that story is not official.

US deploys third aircraft carrier to Middle East amid preperations for Iran invasion

The USS George H.W. Bush, a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, departed Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia on Tuesday alongside its accompanying warships

So, lets hope the USS Abraham Lincoln and USS H.W.Bush can manage their responsibilities and stay safe.

they have to send the Ford home, they've gone beyond any reasonable abuse of that crew.

Probably a small thing among the rest of his sins, but the Trump Crime Family has released plans for his Presidental Hotel and Resort Complex, AKA Trump Presidental Library without papers. They may have a few boxes hidden away in bathrooms however.

The latest scam involves bilking the state of Florida out of prime land for $10 dollars, beating the cost a few of our forefathers paid for Manhattan Island.

The library was originally a project of a nonprofit entity called The Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Fund, Inc. This entity was created on December 20, 2024 and was to be the the recipient of the legal settlements—ultimately totaling some $63 million from ABC, Meta, Paramount, and X5—resulting from Trump’s legalized bribery schemes from late 2024 to mid-2025.

But in May 2025, Trump created a second nonprofit, with an almost identical name: Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation, Inc.6

By September 26, 2025, the first entity had been dissolved without ever issuing an annual report—so we have no idea where that $63 million went. The second entity, which was the recipient of the land transfer from the state of Florida, remains operational. We have no idea how much money it has, where the money comes from, or who’s on the payroll.

But probably no one from the Trump family, right?

This was all very predictable in that Presidents are often faced with events they cannot control. We all saw how he reacted (or decomposed rather) in the face of COVID.

There are differences this time though, starting with the fact that this wasn't an act of God, it was a war of choice. His fingerprints are all over the metaphorical smoking gun and all of it, the conflict, the economic effects, the additional money per gallon on fuel, it's all on this decision

Oddly enough, I think the bad reaction in the oil and stock markets is going to bedevil him more than anything else, at least if the reaction carries through when it opens in the morning. He's been able to talk the market back up several times via social media since this started, but to have his formal statements fall flat with 'his people' (i.e. investors) is going to hit him where his pride lives.

The market has been a willing participant in being talked off the ledge generally... they've treated this like a normal Presidency and think that when he comes to bad decisions that he'll back off once the blowback occurs.

At some point, one would think the fact that he's an irrational actor (to put it kindly) would break through and we'd get an "Emporer has no clothes" moment, but I'll believe it when I see it

I'm old enough to remember Jimmy Carter had to put his farm in a blind trust. And brother Billy had to stop peddling beer..

It may be a small thing in the long run, but the Trump Crime Syndicate looms large...
