I think it’s problematic enough we even have to debate what it is Trump really thinks of it all, because he is so inarticulate when it comes to the language of diplomacy and statesmanship. If details ever did come out—which, I can't see how they ever would, since the only details remaining are who are the girls and what were the acts—then not only would Trump merely deflect rather than deny, but also, a lot of his flying monkeys probably would interpret that as permission.

People use "literally" instead of "figuratively" all the time.  It bugs me.  And they often misuse "Virtually" too.

Not only that, but he never talks about it. The guy harps on and on about lies he makes up in his rotted brain but never discusses his assassin's name. He talks about it only when he is being threatened by something, or when he wants to exploit its merchandising value.

I don't see any way Trump decides to spin out Elon from his circle peramnently. Elon has way, way more money than Trump, and if there's one reason Trump respects anyone, that's the reason. If they don't reconcile, it will be because Elon doesn't want to. Despite that his adversary is the actual president of the United States, Elon holds all the cards.

I predict Trump will privately make concessions to Elon to publicly bring him back into the fold, and I further predict those concessions will have a direct impact on the American people.

What does Trump need from Elon?  Nothing.   He needed his money and whatever else to win the election.  He can't run again.  He doesn't care if Repbulicans win so he doesn't care of Musk supports them.

Elon needs the US Government because he's a major contractor in defense and space and all of that.  There's also Tesla to consider.  But to what degree does Trump help with that?  I don't know the answer.
