Illegal immigrants - check!

Drug smugglers - check!

North Korean fishermen - check!

What's next?  I have no idea but it certainly won't be US citizens.

I care about innocent humans dying, whether or not they are US citizens. You do you though.

Again, how do we know they had drugs? How are they illegal immigrants when they weren’t even in the US?

I'm smart enough to understand that most Americans care more about what's happening inside America and that's why many of them decided it was best to vote for the convicted felon.  Maybe one day you'll figure that out.

And yet this boat that was blown out of the water happened outside of America.

Look, GG is straight up telling you that he does not care about non-Americans, including if they live or die. And if they do die, he doesn't care if they were murdered by American soldiers. Further, his assertion is that the majority of Trump voters feel the same.

I for one believe him about all of it.

Do we know they are drug smugglers? Do we even know there were drugs?

Given this administration's congenital lying on pretty much every topic, forgive me for not taking anything they say at face value

This is what you Trump haters don't get, he gets results.   He wants a rate cut, but the fed won't do it because of inflation.  Does he stop there?  No, he gets what he wants, so he plays the long game of stifling jobs and here we are, in a great position to get that rate cut.  More 4D chess from our dear leader.

Sealed the southern border as well. I was told that would be impossible without immigration reform bills.....

I'm just applying your logic of vigilante justice here. So my neighbor, in the home right next to me, sold drugs out of his garage (weed before it was legal in Michigan). Could I have just called the police in the city I live in and had them come in blasting in his garage? Since he was technically a drug dealer and since he was breaking a law, would my local PD have been justified to come in blasting and taken him out? If not, why? Could it be because people have due process rights before we just convict them of a crime? Could it be because we are a nation and a people that believe in innocent, until proven guilty? Could it be because they are still human beings and we don't just play Robocop or vigilante justice with people's lives?

Also, do you remember when the United States shot down an Iranian passenger airline jet because they thought, had no proof, simply thought it was a military plane? Well the plane they thought was a Iranian military plane was in-fact a passenger plane carrying, Iran Air Flight 655. On the flight were 290 people. Do those people matter? Do their lives matter? This flight, that our government shot down, is why you can't just make assumptions about what is or isn't on a boat or a plane. It's why you have to verify first before taking people's lives.

You think selling a bag of weed is the same as loading a go-fast boat with bundles of illegal drugs and making a run for the USA?

The military is operating spy planes and drones in the area, they know what they were shooting at.

Maybe if G Man could point out where in US or International Law the President has the sole authority to fire on a vessel in international waters without presenting proof.

1) Last I checked drug smuggling is not a capital crime.

2) Only Congress has the power to declare war

Beside the fact it was outside International Law. I’s like using a shotgun to kill a gnat

Trump will never get to heaven that way and I pray his apologists don’t either

Your premise is shoot first ask questions later. I think that is a very dangerous precedence to et, whether it is over a trunk full of weed or a boat full of drugs. Furthermore, the military didn't know that Iran Air Flight 655 was a passenger jet. They followed your mantra of shoot first and ask questions later and 290 innocent people died.

The ultimate call for shooting at that boat falls to the Commander in Chief, Donald J. Trump. A person who is perhaps the most profligate liar in American life today.

Again, forgive me for not taking anything coming from this administration at face value. Given how often they lie, nobody owes them their trust.

I will type this very slowly so maybe you will understand. What was done was done illegally under International Law. The drug lords, if that was actually on the boat, are not at war with the US. The most expedient thing to do was to keep track of the vessel, and when it came into US waters have the Coast Guard board it, seize the contents and arrest everyone on the ship.

In essence we stopped one shipload of drugs, killed a bunch of people.Big Deal. It's why we're losing the War on Drugs because of shortsightedness by people like you. But the bottom line is that was only one shipment. Go after the head of the snake, not the tail. This action only made the Drug Lords more determined.

No, they made a mistake with a blip on a radar screen during a war.  In this case, they had high resolution cameras on a spy plane or drone tracking this boat from the time the drugs were loaded.  Trying to compare the two is absolutely ridiculous.

So, now you are saying that Trump is good for America but you claim that you didn't vote for him?  That doesn't compute.

I see we've once again reached the point where people just start making stuff up that isn't anywhere close to being the truth.  Not once have I said the orange moron was good for anything so stop twisting reality simply so you can try to keep arguing.

The thing I keep going back to is that the latest reporting is that they have still not briefed with Congressional leaders and, as of last night, still were scrambling to come up with a legal rationale for what they did.

I don't know if they were carrying drugs or not, but as of right now, they have provided no answers to the our representatives (ie. Congress) as to why they did this or what authority they were acting under while pursuing this. As someone concerned about government overreach or a runaway executive branch that is unaccountable to the people, forgive me for not seal-clapping this stupidity
