So even with a ton of injuries, a down year by Betts, they still win it all. Imagine what they'll do if they stay healthy. Jeter called them a juggernaut. Have won 3 out of 5 WS the past 9 years, and they're just getting started.

Dodgers win on a Series-ending double play. Greatest game ever? Has to be right up there.

I think the only better ending is for the home team to win and the home crowd to celebrate.

My life isn’t appreciatively affected by the outcome of this World Series.

At least I don’t feel I’ve had my lungs removed and that I’m hanging upside down in a rural Swedish barn as in Midsommer or anything like I do when the Tigers lose just about any game.

It's a good thing John Schneider took a guy who had been crushing the ball all night out of the game.  Much rather have Kiner in there for a big at bat.

Why do these managers always take out their best offensive players in close games?

Proving once again that managers rarely make decisions that win games but sure do make decisions that contribute to losing games.

Their lineup is getting a bit long in the tooth.

the place we are staying at had YouTube TV somehow, either a former guest or the owners provide it.  Either way it worked. So I recorded it and fast forwarded it.

the place we went to was some Polish  fusion place that was Vegan. No TVs. My first vegan meal ever.  I didn’t think polish and vegan went together.

the Jays gave this away.  I blame it on karma. Two douchebags behind the plate kept drawing attention to themselves and blocking Geddys views. They probably blew their kids college money for those tickets.

Bichette was gimpy and could only run the bases station to station. In that particular circumstance I don't think it was a bad move. OTOH, I didn't like the bunt after the Vlad double.

Giving up one of your 3 outs in that situation is idiotic.  A guy on 2nd with no outs is much better than a guy on 3rd with 1 out.

Similarly, I really hate watching McKinstry get thrown out at 3rd by his stupid ass base running, especially to make the final out of the inning.

And the Dodgers had 2 WS stolen from them by the cheating Astros and Red Sox

That’s it. Thank you.

I remember when they’d play us they’d always have Ernie drop in to chat during one of the innings he wasn’t calling.

Another “station” of note in Sarnia was the Campbell Street Station. A long time bar and music venue in the south end of town. Mark Fidrych signed autographs there for us (no drinks served, I was 9 years old) at a signing in the winter after his 1976 season.

When the Tigers played at the Jays in mid-September 1986, and I was about to start a sports reporting gig for a 5,000 watt station while early in my freshman year at the University of Toronto, I worked up the nerve to call Ernie’s hotel room (Lulu answered and I was so nervous I hung up and had to call back seconds later) and ended up being invited over for a 30 minute chat. One of highlights of my sports fan life.
