Agreed that Jung had fallen off so much that he wasn’t going to be in the organizations short-term plans. And that him making a change that has positive results is great. Whether that can be sustained or if it means they keep him long term is TBD. Normally a high draft choice like him would be a significant chip for a trade, but so far this year his value was too low. Can he do enough in the next month to raise his stock?

I was curious where Miranda was. 


 Two prominent names missing from the Tigers’ Dominican Summer League teams are expected back early next month: Nestor Miranda, 19, a right-handed batting third baseman who signed 17 months ago for $1.5 million, has been out with a left shoulder strain. Steven Madero, 18, and a left-handed hitting catcher who has steadily wowed the Tigers staff since he came aboard, also will resume work following a quad strain.
