gehringer_2 Posted May 31 Posted May 31 (edited) And they probably could have had Garcia if Vest had thrown over there. But moot point. Edited May 31 by gehringer_2 Quote

Sports_Freak Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Lack of clutch hitting for KC. 12 hits and 5 walks with 11 left on base and 2-11 RISP. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Consider that the Tigers are playing at what seems like an out of their minds level and are on pace for 106 wins. Now try to imagine how Seattle - after losing ARod and Junior in the two prior seasons - won 116 games. 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Tigers wobble for the first time since the opening weekend - losing 3 straight at home to last year's division winner - and respond by thumping out 5 straight wins. The lead that had narrowed to 3 games is back up to 6.5 games. That's what championship contending teams do. 1 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted May 31 Posted May 31 I didn't ever realize tomorrow is Skubal Day. Yeah, we swept SF without him. Impressive. Quote
IdahoBert Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Every team, but the White Sox, in our division is playing over .500 ball. and we have a huge lead right now and when we’re finished with KC, we play the White Sox. Need to win at least one of the next two games. Quote

Build up a lead so when you go thru a losing streak, you have some leeway. Quote
holygoat Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Willie Castro brings the Twinks to within one of Seattle with a 2-out HR in the 7th. 4-3 Mariners now. Quote

RatkoVarda Posted May 31 Posted May 31 for comparison, Tigers had a 5.5 game lead over Blue Jays on May 31, 1984. If Seattle holds on, Tigers would lead by 7 games over Twins and Land of Cleve team Quote
