No wonder weather reporters are always wrong. I have 2 weather apps, Accuweather and the Weather Channel app. They're not close in agreement, not even close. So I'll assume they're both wrong and we'll have a DH tomorrow. Doom and Gloom.

Wondered about the overall accuracy of weather reporting as it seems to have been really uneven lately.

Hmmm… I’m kind of late to the party, but I guess I’ll start watching season one of Andor because my best friends tell me it’s pretty great.

There are wonderful monologues coming.

I just saw a report on the national news that the US government is hiring back a lot of those folks to help the reporting for hurricane season.

More DOGE budget savings evaporating. DOGE's work puts me in mind of dry ice, looks solid, but come back a little later and ...nothing.

My job is a county contract and it's part of huge budget cuts that can be traced to DOGE. Have to get my clients connected to other services by the end of June

During a rain delay, bringing up politics in a GDT isn't as frowned upon. With that being said, how many people have been charged with fraud if it's so bad? Trillions of $$ and nobody in prison for fraud? And the worst part is that it's not individuals who are ever charged with any fraud, it's the providers who get caught ripping off medicaid/Medicare for millions of $$, or more.

Rain out?

That's God's way of telling SGL that he should just give up baseball.

Seriously, can you imagine what he's going through after this long journey to finally come back and then BOOM..........rain.

There's only one thing he can do.    The next time he pitches, DOMINATE and throw it in God's face!

Yeah it is. Let's move this discussion to the Political forum if you wish to have it.

OK so this not a political statement per se at all, just one about human perception in general - there are two immutable laws at work - the law of large numbers, and the law of decreasing returns. The first means you can make a lot of noise about 'waste' using numbers that seem big, but are still tiny potatoes in the total scheme, and the 2nd means that there is always a point where the cost of more thorough budget controls exceeds the dollars that control will save, ergo the 0% $ loss organization is a mirage - it's not even the target you can/should realistically aim for.
