Tigermojo Posted Thursday at 08:21 PM Posted Thursday at 08:21 PM Now I can practice my conTORKtionist routine between games. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted Thursday at 08:30 PM Posted Thursday at 08:30 PM Easy game one, series win booked, they're playing with house money against Skenes. At least they should be loose. Quote

Remember that time the Tigers were in a defensive slump? I'm glad those days are gone. 😅 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted Thursday at 08:38 PM Posted Thursday at 08:38 PM Skubal is up to 12 walks on the season now. And the 2 earned runs raises his ERA to 2.06. I guess maybe he IS human...🤣🤣 Quote
IdahoBert Posted Thursday at 08:39 PM Posted Thursday at 08:39 PM I’m impressed they were able to clear out the stadium so quickly without cattle prods or RoboCop. Quote
lordstanley Posted Thursday at 08:39 PM Posted Thursday at 08:39 PM Torres (.804) and Baez (.801) have both brought their OPS back above .800 and McKinstry (.797) is close. Quote
lordstanley Posted Thursday at 09:10 PM Posted Thursday at 09:10 PM (edited) I see the game 2 start time is now listed as 6:10pm Edited Thursday at 09:34 PM by lordstanley Quote

Arlington Posted Thursday at 09:50 PM Posted Thursday at 09:50 PM This was mentioned briefly in the broad cast and I'm not sure if it was discussed elsewhere, but picking up Hernandez on waivers astounds me. Every team needs power arm relievers and every team had a chance to take him. Every team declined him except the team with the best record in the majors. Colorado said No, the White Sox said No. 29 team, 29 "No"s. It must have gotten to the point where some teams were surprised he was still available, yet they too said no. Not to belabor the point, what did Harris and team see in him that none other has? Yes, the pen is hurting but everyone's pen needs improvement. Are the Tigers hurting that badly? Is this a case of the roster spot being open so we'll give him a couple of games and see if he corrects himself? I like to think they saw a path for him and are investing in it and not taking a shot in the dark. The Tigers have a couple waiver claims in the pen but these guys were picked when they had much earlier picks. It will be quite the coup if this works out. Quote
Tenacious D Posted Thursday at 09:55 PM Posted Thursday at 09:55 PM Can we agree that if we can beat Skenes tonight and sweep, we should be declared World Champions, and just forego the balance of the season. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Thursday at 10:14 PM Posted Thursday at 10:14 PM The bourgeoisie has not shown up for this game. Quote
