Oh thank God, I just checked my iPhone weather app and there’s a 25% chance of rain at 8 PM and 9 PM. And my yahoo weather app predicts a 51% chance of rain for two hours around game time. Whew, I was worried that the possibility of clear sailing would spell doom.

Partly sunny? Does this mean winter is finally over and the ground hog is scurrying about? And a 7:10 PM start time instead of 6:40 PM?

you never know what might pop up in the midwest on a hot humid day

THis year they moved the summer Friday games to 7:10.  Midweek still 6:40.  Which I still hate.

It's fine for April and September when it's colder and kids are in school so you want them home.  But a "night out" at the game shouldn't be over at 9:15 on a random Tuesday in July.

I agree. I hate to be a cynic but are they hoping families have to come to the ballpark for overpriced food for dinner? Those early start times mean either eating dinner at 5 PM, eating at the game or waiting until after the game to eat. When I was younger, 2 hot dogs and a beer were OK for dinner. 🤣🤣

I think so too... get out of the "eat before the game" mode.  Fridays they market as "party in the park" with discounted food and drinks before hand via a "happy hour".

Saturday and Sunday are either day games or night games for TV so 6:40 doesn't apply.

But with the pitch clock the idea of getting out too late is gone now.  I understood when the games were 30 minutes longer.

Get out your rain slicker and waders boys and girls! Will Todd Jones reprise his Magglio performance?

Nothing to do with the game but had to post it here cause of how crazy it is to me, the Royals have only hit 13HRs all season at home thus far. Nobody on the team has hit more than 3 there all season.

When I brought up the FanDuel Detroit schedule on my iPhone, I was greeted with this impossibly fortunate news that I was being added to Google’s sacred “Hall of Fame”

I guess the odds are about 1/5,000,000,000 of being a fortunate recipient of untold prestige, and notoriety. I hope they don’t ask me for more personal information again, such as my mother‘s maiden name or the make of my first automobile because I already gave that to the Crown Prince of Nigeria years ago.

Which cup did you pick and what prize?

I'm not sure the purported author's bio could be any more in opposition to the content of that "article".
