casimir Posted Sunday at 01:47 PM Posted Sunday at 01:47 PM This occasion is ripe for arrogance. Series in hand with Skubal on the mound. A chance to kick a city entirely out of baseball mode and into football mode despite the Clowns being the Clowns. An opportunity to break the numeric system by seeing if indeed there actually does exist a 1 decimal place number in between 99.9% and 100.0%. Or, perhaps, the opportunity for the Tigers to invent that number with a victory today. 1 Quote
romad1 Posted Sunday at 04:41 PM Posted Sunday at 04:41 PM Very worried about this one because the betting services are going hard on how much of a favorite we are. They have suckered in the punters. Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted Sunday at 05:15 PM Posted Sunday at 05:15 PM Two things 1 - No Hitter Alert today. Skubal's near-death experience yesterday will bring out his best 2- Riley's been quiet the last few games. He's about to 'splode. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Sunday at 05:25 PM Posted Sunday at 05:25 PM When I’m watching the pregame show and I hear the word “parlay” I reach for my revolver. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Sunday at 05:28 PM Posted Sunday at 05:28 PM I don’t know if it’s the FanDuel broadcast or mlb.tv but the feed is constantly blacking out for a second or two and it never does on anything else I watch on my television. And of course, it never happens on the commercials. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted Sunday at 05:44 PM Posted Sunday at 05:44 PM I like how Progressive Field is set up behind the plate, you get those expensive seats raised out of the view of the CF camera, wish there was a way to do that at Comerica. Not to mention the view from those seats are probably better being raised up off the playing field as well. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Sunday at 05:44 PM Posted Sunday at 05:44 PM So was Adam Wainwright last night being a jerk when he was trying to reign in Jason‘s personality? I wasn’t watching at the time. Quote
IdahoBert Posted Sunday at 05:51 PM Posted Sunday at 05:51 PM Oh well, there’s eight more innings. Quote

IdahoBert Posted Sunday at 05:55 PM Posted Sunday at 05:55 PM Ha ha ha that’s incredible. Kwan is running to first base, thinking it’s a walk when the ball out of the strike zone is called a strike dramatically by the ump. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted Sunday at 06:05 PM Posted Sunday at 06:05 PM Skubal's combination of sinker/change gets them worried about swinging above everything which leave them wide open to swinging under the high 4 seamer. I don't know if it's because it's just harder to do or because back in the day it ran counter to conventional wisdom, but I don't remember a lot of guys throwing both 2 seam and 4 seam fastballs in the past like they do now. 1 Quote

IdahoBert Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM I hope Dingler is able to trick this ump some more. Although the ump may just be crappy. Quote
romad1 Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM Posted Sunday at 06:07 PM Parker Meadows has not returned to awesome. Quote

I wasn’t watching at the time. I was able to watch the game last night after all. Fortunately I got the FOX feed through our prime account. Wainwright was totally professional, definitely not a jerk about anything. Clearly, he was more about the baseball game than secondary conversations. Waino has a good career ahead of him in the booth. I liked his take on pitches thrown and the pitchers. Quote
