Well, what an ignominious loss after having been riding so high for so long in this game. I hope the future Hall of Famers we didn’t want to trade live up to their potential. I mean, it’s just one game, but it is not a good look tonight.

Who is going in next,  the electric Kyle Finnegan and that breathtaking 7.4 K per 9 rate?   Luke Jackson and that shutdown WHiP of 1.46?  The incredible Raffy Montrero?     Oooh,  goosebumps with that haul.    Can't wait for that Charlie Morton call, maybe his kids can go to the game, if they can get out of their college classes.

I thought i was the only one with the knee-jerk reactions? It's good to see I'm not alone. 😅😅

Where's all these pitchers they traded for that is going to improve the team? Instead Hinch sticks with his tired go to relievers that haven't been producing for weeks.  I would rather see them get beat 12-0 then give games away like this.

And we roll over and play dead in the 9th. Took the starter out early, used the closer early as well. Error cost us the game. Disappointing all around.

Unclear why we’re using Hanifee in a leverage situation.  Why not Melton?

maybe because he's only had 3 days' rest since his last start? just guessing, not sure if that's a consideration when moving from the rotation to the pen.

The offense did the best it could against a great staff...bullpen was given leads in the 7th and 8th and failed...not much to say.

Yup.  Probably not the best game to have right after the trade deadline given their needs, the perception of how those needs were addressed, and how this game was lost.

If their trade haul was worth it, why didn't any of them pitch in this close game tonight?    Oh yeah, I know, because they suck.

This ain't the Diamondbacks, who've given up on their season.

We've got Skubal tomorrow.   He'll give us 6 or 7 amazing innings and then handed over to those stiffs we got.  Good luck with that.

your sample size of 1 is great evidence to support your point.

Definition of insanity rule. Expecting different results? How did that work out for Mr Big Brain Hinch?

I don't get why Hinch didn't do something else?   All he had to do was something other than what he did and the Tigers win.

Use his closer in the 7th inning? He tried using him in the 8th inning last week. Even worse results.
