Jason_R Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Strong endorsement of TA. Would have had his first INT if Kerby Joseph didn’t get it. I hope the Lions send the league office a cut up of TA getting called for nonsense that no other CB is getting called for. He is a good player with a bad rep. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted October 6 Posted October 6 I think the Lions are in some ways ok with the penalties. They want to be physical and naturally there will be penalties they will have to live with. Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted October 7 Posted October 7 James Houston is the prototypical one-trick pony. It's a flashy trick though. If you have a roster where you can afford to have a player who is only good for 5-10% of snaps in a game, on 3rd and long and obvious passing downs, then he's great. But he's an absolute liability against the run. Solid rosters aren't going to sacrifice a multi-down depth player who can plug holes to have Houston on the roster. And fans don't get this, which leads to stories like this. Stubborn Matt Eberflus refuses to give Cowboys top performers more snaps Quote
Sports_Freak Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Interesting to see Kansas City struggles in the red zone. The MNF stat said they have the lowest td % in the NFL in the red zone. But they sure do have some deep threats. Beware. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted October 7 Posted October 7 KC got some assistance from the refs to even be in that game. Gift wrapped the ball at the 5 at one end thanks to what seemed to be a pretty obvious DPI. Picked up a flag for what looked like pretty obvious OPI on the other end. KC is beatable. 3 Quote
RandyMarsh Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Between how they treat him on his own along with it being a "must win" game for KC Terrion Armold would get called for 50 penalties next week if he was playing. Quote

Ha, I wonder if that has ever happened before? It probably has if you count beating a QB in week17/18 and the first round of the playoffs but not sure about doing it back to back in regular season games. Quote

It would be 2 AFC loses so less helpful, but it’s then Browns and the Bengals with Flacco! Nothing would be better. 1 Quote

MichiganCardinal Posted October 10 Posted October 10 The Tush Push needs to die. Four straight for a score. Flag should have been thrown on at least two of them. If the officials aren’t good enough to see the false start on it, it needs to go away. Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted October 10 Posted October 10 I guess the Eagles luck ran out. As far as who the best team in the NFC is - I think there is only one that can really challenge the Lions and that's Tampa Bay, who is a few plays away from being 5-0. I am not buying the Niners. Quote

Still too early to say for sure. A team can get hot in December. I think the Rams, Eagles, Packers, Bucs, Niners, Seahawks, Commanders, and even Vikings all have the ability to see the stars align late. But I also think the Lions have to be the betting favorite in the NFC right now. Just stay healthy! Quote
Motown Bombers Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Tampa is also a few plays away from being 0-5. Quote
Jimbo Posted October 10 Posted October 10 I still think Greenbay is going to be our toughest NFC opponent. I think there is still a good chance they win the division with comparisons in schedules. Philly has a bad couple of games although I think they will figure out their issues and finish strong. Washington could be scary as well and last years playoff game still should give us some concern. Tampa is definitely a team that could win the conference (especially with their division). San Fran doesn't scare me that much although they are winning games with all the injuries they have is impressive. Rams could pose a threat if they can stay healthy. My biggest concern this year is if we can stay healthy and not have any big season ending injuries. I know a lot are nervous about the secondary although my biggest concern is the OL. They are one major injury on the OL from being a big issue. I am good with letting Decker sit until after the bye week, even if it means sacrificing a loss. 23 minutes ago, Motor City Sonics said: I guess the Eagles luck ran out.
