Tim Twentyman with a piece published today, about recent #17 picks. Seems like TT has been living under a rock.

Hey, Tim's just presuming innocent until the guy is proven guilty. After all Pearce's Attorney said:

"Mr. Pearce maintains his innocence and urges the public to understand that while allegations have the power to shape a narrative, that it is hardly the full, complete story. We look forward to vigorously defending our client and remain confident that he will continue contributing positively to both his team and the community he serves so well."

So, ya know... don't rush to conclusions!!

The damage is done. Everyone knows who the good owners and bad owners are and it's who we expected.

The Lions got poorly rated on food in like 2023 and overhauled their food services. I'd like to think they're on the right side of this ownership wise and would have done that even if it weren't made public.

I would like to think the damage done by WCF and Martha (her to a lesser extent) is worn off this organization. I think at one point in time, players would have voted us as the worst ownership in the league given that you had hall of fame players retired early. I would venture to guess players around the league view Sheila, Rod, and Brad favorably.

The Lions ranked 9th and have been in the upper half. There is a difference between team success and how the ownership treats the players. WCF was loyal to a fault. He stuck with guys like Matt Millen way too long. He paid him well and was hands off. I read a story about WCF and Reggie Brown. After Brown got injured and couldn't play again, WCF got him into a program with Ford Motor Company and set him up with his own dealerships. Brown had become a successful dealership owner in Texas. I always got the impression that WCF took care of his people but he expected that loyalty back. When Barry Sanders retired early, he wasn't reciprocating the loyalty. That's why WCF went after his signing bonus.
