kdog Posted Saturday at 12:34 AM Posted Saturday at 12:34 AM Tigers appear to have a starting pitching crisis lol. Quote

The difference being that Paddack is alternating between good and bad starts. Washburn had one really good start, and was meh to awful in the rest of them. Paddack might get one more chance after this, but if he has another stinkeroo next time, he might be outright replaced in the rotation by Troy Melton and then go the Maeda garbage-time route the rest of the season, before getting left off the October roster. kdog Posted Saturday at 12:38 AM Posted Saturday at 12:38 AM Paddack doesn't miss bats..he gives up high EV in his 'good' starts..it's basically all luck if the ball doesn't drop. 1 Quote

But with Paddack pitching, well, he has over a 4.50 career ERA, in 7 years. It's not a small sample, he is what he will be and always has been. A 5th starter for a team that finishes 20 games out of first. Like Minnesota? Quote
Edman85 Posted Saturday at 12:39 AM Posted Saturday at 12:39 AM I doubt we see Melton in the rotation. As much as I think the science behind this is suspect, I think Melton's innings are being regulated. 1 Quote

Yeah, I would rather see Melton start. At least he has some upside. This clown belongs on team 15 games under .500. Then it would be, who cares? But in a divisional race? Hard pass on that trade, I don't care HOW cheap he was... Quote
1776 Posted Saturday at 12:42 AM Posted Saturday at 12:42 AM Flaherty, Morton, and Paddock are all a roll of the dice. Quote

Or even as a 3 inning opener. Or Montero from Toledo, he has better stuff than Paddack. Hopefully, Harris isnt tempted to extend him for 2 seasons... Quote

IdahoBert Posted Saturday at 01:25 AM Posted Saturday at 01:25 AM What’s with the Royals taking Lugo out so quickly? Don’t they know they’re supposed to leave him in until he allows eight or nine runs? 1 Quote
Adullin Posted Saturday at 01:26 AM Posted Saturday at 01:26 AM Did the announcer really just call that triple a knock out punch? Does he not know about the jinx? 1 Quote
