Week Two: Chicago Bears (0-1) @ Detroit Lions (0-1)

Lions win. 3rd year in a row they start 1-1.

I get that the Bears are a bad team yet again this season, but I think most of my concerns were addressed with today's clowning of the Bears. The offensive line looked a lot better today and that was a big relief.

Well the team, fans and, hell, the city of Detroit needed this. Everybody acting like this was SOL all week was getting tiresome to read.

I felt this way sort of too because I don't expect us to win next week. It'd be incredible to pull off the upset, but I have no expectation we will. 

I'm most happy that the offensive line looked better and they got back to their identity and ran the ball. They averaged 5.9 ypc, had 177 total rushing yards, and 2 TDs. The blocking looked more in sync and plays had time to develop today without getting blown up in the backfield or at the line.

Still think Lamar is going to shred the Lions again.  Hopefully the Lions still have a chip on their shoulder over the last time they played.

Lamar?  Vastly different and more athletic defense than the last time they faced him.

Go 2-2 in these next 4 games and we'll be OK. Burrow hurt his ankle today, I don't know how bad.

What I like now that the Lions are good, it exposes the Bears as the poverty franchise. Before they could say at least they weren't the Lions.

I think they can easily go 3-1. Browns are bad, Bengals likely have no Burrow, and the Chiefs aren't looking good.

I’m super encouraged by the performance today. (Obviously, how could you not be)

We are back to last year where the offense leaves you feeling like somehow, someway, there is still meat on the bone after a 52-point performance.

Next week should be fun. When this team gets to play loose, with nothing to lose in a game they’re expected to lose, they are a really fun team to watch.
