Two home wins since August 23, getting swept by Cleveland at home, playoff spot clinched in Boston, wildcard series won in Cleveland. Nothing at Comerica. Let's have a nice stirring win today and see what happens in a Friday coin flip. Win or lose, I hope the fans give the Tigers a nice send-off. It was a fun season this year and we all should appreciate the effort and the joy of having a relevant team. We could all play the "What could have been" game but not a single fan had any control of which direction the team goes. It...is what it is. 😆 1 Quote

If Seattle takes a multi run run in the 7th or 8th, peoole will flee. I’d actually be surprised if the stadium is 75% full by game time. After yesterday…. Of course I am leaving in a few minutes and stay until the end. But if it looks like they will be eliminated the fans will head home early. Quote
tiger2022 Posted October 8 Posted October 8 This is the game to win. They are going against a very hittable pitcher. If they can't score off this guy, they deserve to lose. Quote
tiger2022 Posted October 8 Posted October 8 And Friday will basically be a coin flip between Skubal and Kirby Quote
tiger2022 Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Casey Mize is going to have the game of his life. 7 IP, 1 hit, 10 K's, 0 ER. I believe in Casey. Quote
Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 8 Posted October 8 I think we can win because Woo isn't pitching today. I don't think we will win though because our lack of hitting and inconsistent fielding will show up again. I think this lineup is mentally burnt out an dejected. I think Mize will pitch well, give us 6.5-7 innings, and only give up 2-3 runs total. I think the the bullpen comes in and gives up a few more and the bats let them down again. I think we'll lose 5-2 and head into the offseason. Quote

IdahoBert Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Why do the announcers say the Mariners are in business simply because they have a man on second base? Would they say that about our team? Quote

lordstanley Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Naylor singles in a run and the Mariners are in business, leading 1-0. Quote
Tenacious D Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Wonder if it is a bit demoralizing for the pitchers? Quote
IdahoBert Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Nice shot of Skubal scratching his balls in the dugout just then. Quote
Tigermojo Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Nice business you have here Seattle. It would be a shame if something happened to it. 1 Quote
