In 2022, we could have had our SS if Avila would have listened to his scouts.

 

TBF, when you add in Skubal, Carpenter, Kieth, Meadows, and a few other pitchers, he did ok in the later rounds, but other than the top 5 picks he struggled in the first, and 2022 is exceptionally rough when the scouts supposedly wanted Neto and Avila overrode them.

Maybe not even quite that good.  He did get Melton, Vest, and Hurter, and but he didn’t even average 2 players per draft who had multiple full mlb seasons.

I’m sure there’s a true crime website where they have us beat.
