Motor City Sonics Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Wow, JJ McCarthy better be ready. The Lions are going to throw everything at him. Who is the Viking backup now? The Lions would need to sweep the Vikings for 18 years to have a better record. Wow. 1 Quote

Motown Bombers Posted October 28 Posted October 28 I feel like the Vikings have been doing a competitive rebuild since Fran Tarkenton. I read something like they haven’t had more than three consecutive losing seasons in their history, but they’ve never won a Super Bowl or been to one in over 40 years. Have they had a franchise QB since Tarkenton? They get these one off years from Warren Moon, Cunningham, Favre and Darnold. Culpepper looked a franchise QB for a minute. The best they had since Tarkenton is Cousins? Quote
Motown Bombers Posted October 28 Posted October 28 Campbell did say Decker will practice Thursday. Quote

Shinzaki Posted October 28 Posted October 28 When I was a kid...the Lions lost 13 straight to Minnesota from 1968 to 1974. The win in 1974 lead to coach Forzano relaxing the uniform requirements to allow players to wear white cleats and grow facial hair. The following summer Hoffa disappeared...I still think the Vikings had something to do with it 1 Quote

Mr.TaterSalad Posted October 28 Posted October 28 There are no slam dunk wins in the NFL the way there are in college football. That said, this should be a definite win for our Lions. The Vikings have had to QB play all season and I don't think JJ coming off an injury, against this defense, is about to turn into a stud. It should be a TD+ victory for our Lions. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted October 28 Author Posted October 28 Someone named Max Brosmer is the Vikings backup QB on Sunday. UDFA out of Minnesota. Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted October 28 Posted October 28 I hope the script writers gave us a good story for this week. Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted October 29 Author Posted October 29 Injury report will be more interesting for the Vikings than the Lions today. Both starting offensive tackles and their center are hurt right now, but will have had 10 days to rest since Thursday Night... Hutch and McNeill are going to feast on ole JJ if they aren't back. Combine that with Goff's success against the blitz and the Vikings inability to stop the run this year, and this train may be headed for a double digit win if we can take care of the ball. 1 Quote
Motown Bombers Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Kelly is on IR and won’t be eligible to return against the Lions so they will be without their center. Quote
