Tigeraholic1 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 George M. Steinbrenner Field-Tampa, FL Weather LHP Tarik Skubal vs RHP Luis Severino Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Quote This morning the Tigers reassigned RHPs Beau Brieske, Garrett Hill and Logan Shore to Minor League camp. 🥲 ST just got less interesting. Quote
Tiger337 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I have often wondered why they reassign players a few at a time in spring training. For example, Why single out those three when they know hardly any of the invitees are going to make the team anyway? Why not just have a couple of mass cuts? Is there a procedural reason why they do it or are they doing in consideration of the players? Quote

Tenacious D Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 The starters in both the majors and minors need to be stretch out quickly. Probably not a lot of 3-4 inning opportunities for Brieske moving forward in the big camp. Quote

casimir Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Dan & Jim on the radio. It sounds glorious, a sure sign of spring. Quote
casimir Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Tigers 2, Yankees 0. Midplayoffs form already, I like it. Quote
SoCalTiger Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Skubal looks good and Torkelson hit was nice to see. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 so they are limited the shuttle to the minors to 5 times per player? That really isn't much of a limit. I suppose it will stop any teams from deliberately shuttling their starting rotation... And Grossman with the long ball. Tigers getting some good swings at Severino Quote
casimir Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 If you listen closely, you can hear tears from John Sterling & Suzyn Waldman. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Baddoo having problems getting the ball out of his glove. Double clutched on the Kiner single then did it again and then almost threw it into the stands after the nice running catch.... Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 4K in two IP for Skubal, who looks like he put on a few pounds in the lower body. Quote
casimir Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Soto on in the 3rd. Hinch wasn't messing around when he said he wasn't necessarily going to wait until the 9th to deploy Soto. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Reyes with a 13 pitch AB - finally popped out. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 (edited) The too long delayed debut of Alex Faedo on the mound for the Tigers. Walk, GO/FC, WP, IF single/error, K, GO. FB 94-95. The year Faedo struggled his velo was down. Be interesting to see where he tops out if he can throw 95. Edited March 20, 2022 by gehringer_2 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Nivaldo Rodriguez gives up a grand slam. Ooops. Quote
mtutiger Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Nice to see Parker Meadows have some success! Quote
