You might be mistaking being a miserable person with something else.  Get the help you need.

Weren’t you just saying this week you were contemplating staying home from your government job because of “things they want you to do.”?

I absolutely love my job! contemplating retiring when I turn 50 next year but we will see. Ford is offering me a fantastic package to stay in my current advisory roll.

Holic, I have put you on ignore.  I'm keeping you there.  I broke that shell because you went hard on edman for making recommendations about the threat from Iranian cyber attacks.

You aren't worth it.

Maybe my profession has given me some experience and training on cyber attacks (Shout out, Jeff... iykyk)... Maybe the alarm bell has been ringing extra hard to the point where it was advised to alert friends and family. Maybe I see bad habits all over the internet that are leading people to get hit. Maybe even if somebody isn't worried about the effect on them, the mere fact that so many people fall for them empowers and funds the scammers and leads to new scams.

If you don't think foreign adversaries aren't behind many scams that are exploiting people and potentially bringing down systems, you aren't paying attention.

A little easier to pull off if an AI agent is able to piece together your health problems, no?

Criminals Posing as Legitimate Health Insurers and Fraud Investigators to Commit Health Care Fraud

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) warns the public about criminals impersonating legitimate health insurers and their investigative team members. These criminals are sending emails and text messages to patients and health care providers, disguising them as legitimate communications from trusted health care authorities. The messages are designed to pressure victims into disclosing protected health information, medical records, personal financial details, or providing reimbursements for alleged service overpayments or non-covered services.

Tips to Protect Yourself

  • Be suspicious of unsolicited messages emails, texts, and calls requesting personal information.
  • Never click on links that are included in suspicious and/or unsolicited emails.
  • Use strong passwords and enable Multi-Factor Authentication for all accounts.
  • Keep operating system software updated and use antivirus software on all devices.
  • Always contact your health insurance provider directly to verify the legitimacy of any messages before sharing personal or health care information.

I don't follow him, but he apparently doesn't like people who work in cubicles.  It sounds like jealousy.

He also once said finished basements were elitist.  Dude has self esteem problems.

They don't even have to be adversaries.  Nigeria has some of the biggest scammers in the world and they are not an adversary of the United States.

I have never understood how people who slobber all over Trump can honestly complain abut elitism.

Be that as it may…we have yet to feel the sting that could be coming.

Oh, I know that.  I have long worried about a huge financial hack that wipes out our retirement accounts.

I don't recall seeing him say this, but this is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Between working adjacent to the construction industry and with my son's extracurriculars (living in a community with a relatively high median income *and* low college attainment rate), there's no shortage of folks who have spent money on finished basements or spend time in their already finished basements.

Just weird stuff

It had to do with the economy and the stimulus checks... I made the comment that a lot of people who were fortunate enough to keep working during the early days of the pandemic found themselves saving money and then then getting an infusion of cash from those checks were spending money on projects and other things they normally might not have done... thus causing some of the inflation we saw... "you guys sit there in your finished basements while working people suffer" or something to that effect.

I read that while working in my non cubicle in my unfinished basement.

I've heard a lot of lines railing against elitism but man, that's the weakest. It's bad logic for a lot of reasons, but one of the reasons it's bad is the implication that working class people are inherently poor. That's just not the case...

So..I sense another 'Mission Accomplished' banner being raised on a day that there's an insignificant objective achieved - all so that the manbaby can say he won

How is anyone fooled by these people?
