Tyler Tolbert's last 3 games:

2 for 2

5 for 5

5 for 5

12 straight hits!

This is going to be one of those weird footnotes when a complete nobody sets an insane record and is then never heard from again, like Cesar Gutierrez.

Fun fact: Tolbert has been in only 30 games so far and he has already played seven positions, plus DH. So what is his most common position coming into today's game? Why, pinch hitter, of course.

Whenever I see 'Tolbert' I think of Major Leauge.... "Tolbert!  Is that you.... if you were going to pull this at least you could say you were from the Yankees"

Watching the final out in the Colorado win over the Dodgers. 2 on and 2 out for Freedie Freeman. 1st pitch called a ball...ABS challenged into a strike. 2nd pitch called a ball...ABS challenged into strike 2. Luckily, Colorado had a challenge left. Otherwise, the blind umpire would have gifted L.A. the game. Both pitches were clear strikes, these umpires really stink...

Don't look now, but Kody Clemens has a .500 SLG and is well within range to jack 30 bombs for the Twins this year.

Shades of All Star Willi Castro!  They excel at dumpster diving.

Sad really.

It could be a temporary response to the dislike of Trump, especially from Canadian tourists (numbers go way down when you insult them),  but it also seems like Vegas has moved away from making itself a playground for the working class everyman to becoming more along the lines of come live like a Kardasian.       Not exactly the smartest move.  Seriously - check out prices for just about anything there now.  Plus, you can gamble almost anywhere now.      Honestly, Las Vegas has done an incredible job of figuring out how to conserve and repurpose water - maybe better than any desert city in the world, but you can only get so much out of the Colorado River and Lake Mead.   They can't live that fantasy forever.

As someone who had a 5 or 6 year stretch of going to Vegas because a friend lived there,  I have no use for it now.  I used to gamble on hockey ($10 at a time) and I did quite well online until they upped the over/under totals.   Now I almost never bet and the whole gambling thing is ruining everything.

The American tourism industry is also trying hard to kill the goose by nickel and diming its customers for *everything*.  There is nothing a vacationer loves more than to buy a package and then have the semi- illusion everything that comes with it is free. Not having to buy every single drink, meal, parking space, hat check, etc., is a major part of feeling like you are on vacation. In their quest to maximize the squeeze the industry is draining all the fantasy appeal out of a trip.

Seemed like a good dude and wish him well, but clearly the Tigers saw some flaws when they needed room on the 40-man.
