Why is people living at home with their parents pathetic?  My niece and nephew are in the their early 30s, living at home, working hard and contributing a lot financially.  They would prefer to live elsewhere, but living at home is the best option for now.

Because people with low self esteem have to look down on others and make inferences about the lack of bootstrap pulling....

My son moved out, because he wanted to, but it's just a mile away.  I have friends with adult children still living at home.  THey have professional jobs and are banking their money.  It's smart.  I would have done that if given the option but I was getting married anyway.  Depending on the age of the parents its good to have someone around too.

Not all families fit into little Ozzie and Harriet boxes.  There's many scenarios and situations.   But that's too deep for feeble minded MAGA brains.

It used to be the norm for unmarried children to stay with their parents, and in some cultures it still is.

I think some people just want to find fault with others who dare to live differently than the way *they* think life should be lived.

Some of us are reaching the age where an extra care giver or two would be helpful. Especially if we have conditions currently or down the road that may require one. Probably more so if it is a family member or members that would likely inherit the home.

If you're lucky enough to have such a willing being then I say, why not. Many of us would like to stay home rather than being housed in an institution.

I can tell you it’s very common in middle Eastern culture.  You drive by million dollar homes here with multiple generation of professional workers with circular driveways and a Porsche, BMW, Maserati.  It’s just how it’s done. Stay home until you marry and pay cash for your big ass house.

There may very well be jealousy involved: jealous that they are able to come up with the money to buy those houses, and also jealous of people in families that get along well enough to remain under the same roof.

I have met so many people over the years who really don't seem to like their kids and/or parents, and who got kicked out of the house on their 18th birthdays. I can think of a few people (and one in particular) who said such awful things about their kids that I immediately called my parents to tell them how much I loved and appreciated them.

Can’t wait to hear from McConnell on the passing of Lindsey Graham.

I don't know if they were ever friends, but now they have something in common.

As far as the insulting remark about adults living with their parents.............

Regarding Gen Z,  there are plenty of things i find annoying about them, but let's be honest...........They've been screwed.  And no, it's not all their fault.   I was born the last week of 1964...........so that makes me a Baby Boomer (technically) but I identify with Gen X.      My Baby Boomer generationi has been the most self-centered and greedy in American history.   Every generation previous to mine - left things in better shape than when they arrived.   In fact, the generation before Baby Boomers sacrificed more than any other in our country's history.     But Gen Z has inherited educational and health care costs that are smothering at best - and now you can add everyday costs to that.   Much of Gen Z can't even dream of really owning a house - and let's be honest, going forward, not owning much of anything, as we see the trend of everything from cars to computers to more mundane things like garage door openers and printers that are now on a subscription basis.   Oh, you may have bought that new garage door - but you can't use it without a monthly subscription.  That laptop you bought - well, it's not really yours.   You better pay up every month because if you don't - we'll just zap it and leave you with nothing more than a doorstop.       Gen Z annoys me plenty - but they got ****ed by the "I Got Mine, **** You" Generation (a.k.a. Baby Boomers).     My Boomers in power better hope all the distractions pitting people against each other continue to work because if it stops working, there's gonna be a lotta Luigis out there.   Why not?  They've got nothing to lose.

Try graduating college right before the Great Recession and not being able to find a job. Then when you do get to that point you get hit with Trump. Housing prices still affect my generation. I was luckily enough to get a foreclosure in 2009 for $40k.

I think Russia, with Trump’s knowledge, whacked him.  He didn’t approve it, he’s not in a position to, but they just let him know it was happening
