gehringer_2 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 if they get through the bottom of the 9th they better score two in the 10th as the Royals have the top of the order, which means Witt, on tap. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Good job, Hinch. This loss is on our manager. The smartest man in the room syndrome . Quote
kdog Posted May 9 Posted May 9 They wasted so much bandwidth for Zach Short lol...truly desperate times. The defense is an abomination. Quote
GalagaGuy Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I remember the good old days when outfielders could actually throw home. Quote

lordstanley Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Listened to this game during my breakfast in Taipei. 8th and 9th innings made me throw up my congee and thousand-year egg. 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 (edited) I guess we can debate if there is a cost in defensive precision for moving guys around a lot, I think there is at least some, or we could just bemoan the fact that the tigers have some guys who are not great defenders no matter where or how many places they play. Tiger337 Posted May 9 Posted May 9 I am glad the Tigers focued on fudamentals in Spring training. It is really paying off. Quote

I think I'd rather see McKinstry in the OF than Perez. Wenceel reminds me of Raburn a little bit in that there is no lack of athletic talent but he just botches too high a proportion of plays just out of the blue. It would also be nice if Riley could figure out a way throw from the OF. If wasn't a factor today but he has to be one of the worst OF arms in the AL. Do I recall there is some injury history there that makes that a lost cause maybe? Edited May 9 by gehringer_2 Quote
