That’s as solid a batting order as I’ve seen in a long time. Consequently, they’ll get shut out on two hits. 😉

God damn it, this post was supposed to jinx the idea, not prophesy it!

I like it more when you stick to analytics and don’t become like Crisswell predicts.

Coincidence or did Chas know something?  Were any unusually large bets placed before this game?

At first I read that wrong

While only 61 plate appearances, Kreidler is showing some loud contact this year. .800+ ops and 122 ops+

He’s so red on run value while being so gray-to-blue on process, which itself seems to indicate he’s getting lucky. The .227 BABIP and 7.6% HR/FB rate confirm.

Also - as stands out on the lower chart, he doesn't walks guys, which gives him a little more slack everywhere else.

The inability to get hits or score any runs had more to do with Seattle's pitching than it did with the Tigers lineup.

Keith had it exactly right.   You love him on your team and hate him on the opposition.

The Tigers and the Red Wings need a few such players.  It takes more than nice guys to win.

You could argue that Montero firing the ball close to his head was more egregious than anythng Naylor did.  I liked Naylor's reaction.  I don't know if it would help the Tigers win more, but I would like to see a few Tigers with some personality.

You certainly could make the argument though I think the counter would be that he hit him right where he wanted to.   Adding up the play at 1st endangering our great rookie McGonigle, the unexpected slide at 2nd base and Torres and the sliding glove throw at Dingler I think the Tigers had simply had enough of his antics.

Let's see - McGonigle, Torres, Dingler.....the source of the Tigers offense all mysteriously targeted by Naylor.

did they call him out for tossing the running glove? Seems like that should be a rule just like throwing a fielding glove at a player or ball is an out.
