Tigermojo Posted June 15 Posted June 15 How can 17% be undecided at this point. Fascism or not. Gee I don't know. The fascists aren't going to throw me in a concentration camp are they? Derp.... Quote
Tiger337 Posted June 15 Posted June 15 You can gamble about anything on Polymarket. There was one question today: Will Trump personally insult some on June 26? 94% said yes. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Legitimately whipped is 1.5% apparently. Trump got beat but over double that and still won. Quote

Esp now because her fans are all still her fans, but the people who will vote for some one else are still going in a million directions. The poll above showed her 'in the lead' at 27% but at this point that could as easily be her ceiling as well. So how can you say she’ll lose when all of her legitimate challengers are doing worse? Plus she had a chance to build some base in the previous campaign so of course that gives her a head start, but that fact that she starts with a base doesn't mean she will grow it, so unless she's actually polling over 50% the field is still wide open for newcomers. Not sure how much previous results matter anymore given our new world order.... but I remember when 2008 was going to be Rudy vs Hillary. Biden picked Harris for demographics. That's just the way the game is played now. She did nothing in that primary. It's not a knock against her, I'm just analyzing things. I think Pete is smart and if he needs to do more to get the black vote he'll know what to do. The hope is that the american people are starved for fresh faces who don't speak the language of bull****. He's great at that. He can go on Fox, he can go on Rogan. He can go up against anybody and address their issues in plain language without shouting or being insulting or sounding patronizing or like he's talking down or selling cars. I would hope after 12 years of the crap we've lived through that this would mean something. The people who wouldn't vote for him for being gay are not going to vote for a democrat anyway. I know that can also be an issue in the black community too... it's why John Conyers stayed in the closet. Quote

Its obvious Trump manipulates markets and understands that when he attacks someone its good PR for that person. Newsome has the mental agility and energy to run rings around Trump, but he won't be running against Trump and the obnoxiousness that makes him a match against Trump might well be a liability in a race where everyone is tired of that brand of political entertainment. Not saying that's going to happen - I have no idea, but if things move that way over two years it won't be in Newsom's favor. Quote

That was the story. I think he was also losing it pretty badly and as a practical matter that was an easy way to get rid of a liability at the peak of the 'me too' phase. At one point it would have been easy to persuade me that the marriage to Monica was a sham, but they did stick it out till the end. Edited June 16 by gehringer_2 Quote

romad1 Posted June 24 Author Posted June 24 JD Vance rollout for 2028 has been so spectacular. The man is aligned with some of the least popular oligarchs (Thiel) and is beyond chameleon in his moves. Guy on one of the pods this morning started to compare him to Richard Nixon as a class conscious merit-based climber who resented the elites. I think you could describe Rubio the same way. Gonna be a lot of strife when two Nixons battle it out. Its like the song "Industrial Disease" by Dire Straits. Quote Two men say they're Jesus, one of them must be wrong There's a protest singer, he's singing a protest song He says, "They wanna have a war, keep their factories They wanna have a war to keep us on our knees They wanna have a war to stop us buying Japanese They wanna have a war to stop industrial disease They're pointing out the enemy to keep you deaf and blind They wanna sap your energy, incarcerate your mind Give ya "Rule Britannia", gassy beer, page three Two weeks in España and Sunday striptease" Meanwhile, the first Jesus says "I'll cure it soon Abolish Monday mornings and Friday afternoons" The other one's out on hunger strike, he's dying by degrees How come Jesus gets industrial disease?
