Since Peacock has all 30 games tomorrow and I presume they’re going to be using Jason for a “real game“ not ours, I noticed there is no home or away option for feeds as Peacock usually does so I wonder if they’re going to pair Dan Dickerson up with the lead broadcaster for the Rangers. That would be sort of cool.

So, in the post game interview AJ referred to the Tigers getting “the good version of Jack.“ Actually, Jack has been decent lately. It just seemed like a not exactly laudatory remark. Does he want Jack to know that he’s on a short leash? Is this blunt honesty? Is this Hinch using his psychology degree because this is something that works with Jack?

It's Hinch being a smug idiot. I can't even listen to him anymore.

Understand that opposing fans (and even some Tigers fans) are going to have a field day with his name,  It might be time ito strongly considering replacing Mr. Jansen with Woo Suk Go.     Yes, what I'm saying is that It's GO TIME !

Wait...thats a real player? Poor guy, I sure hope he doesnt understand English. If he makes it up here...I hope Woo Suk Go don't Blow.

Jack is pitching his way on to a playoff bound team if he keeps this up.  Might have to send some of his salary, but might be worth it based on the return.

AJ has been making more pointed remarks in the past month or so about guys who need to hear it.

Montero's whip in 92 innings is 0.97

A 5.5% walk rate and a .223 BABIP will get you a sub-1 WHIP. It may not be all real, but it’s at least half real.

Maybe Keider does have really good command. OTOH - a pitcher can keep up a walk rate better than his long term equilibrium walk rate for a long time - the most striking example being Rick Porcello's Cy Young year with Boston. He basically went a whole season without walking anyone -he had never hit that rate before or duplicated it again.

5.5% is pretty low, but not outrageously so. It's more in the ballpark of reproducible than Porcello's year at 3.6% anyway!

If Keider hangs around for a while without blowing out his arm we'll eventually find out.

A 5.5% walk rate = 90th percentile, so it depends how “outrageously” low is defined.

that’s sounds about right. somebody has to be the 10 percent. even if he settles in a little higher, say something in the range of 2.1/9ip that’s can be a pretty valuable guy.

Plus he's ours, not some washed up old reliever we're overpaying for.

It's the Rangers pxp guy with Petry.

I was going through national tv pairing history over the offseason and saw this is what NBC/ABC did during the "Baseball Network" days of 1994-1995. They took turns broadcasting all the Saturday games, and it was on in the local affiliates that day with a PxP guy and Color guy from each team.

That’s a great idea.
