IdahoBert Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Since Peacock has all 30 games tomorrow and I presume they’re going to be using Jason for a “real game“ not ours, I noticed there is no home or away option for feeds as Peacock usually does so I wonder if they’re going to pair Dan Dickerson up with the lead broadcaster for the Rangers. That would be sort of cool. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I was looking at our minor league teams' stats and it feels like Robert Campos should be 40. Seems like he's been in the organization for 20 years. Quote

It just seemed like a not exactly laudatory remark. Does he want Jack to know that he’s on a short leash? Is this blunt honesty? Is this Hinch using his psychology degree because this is something that works with Jack? It's Hinch being a smug idiot. I can't even listen to him anymore. Quote

Yes, what I'm saying is that It's GO TIME ! Wait...thats a real player? Poor guy, I sure hope he doesnt understand English. If he makes it up here...I hope Woo Suk Go don't Blow. Quote

Maybe Keider does have really good command. OTOH - a pitcher can keep up a walk rate better than his long term equilibrium walk rate for a long time - the most striking example being Rick Porcello's Cy Young year with Boston. He basically went a whole season without walking anyone -he had never hit that rate before or duplicated it again. 5.5% is pretty low, but not outrageously so. It's more in the ballpark of reproducible than Porcello's year at 3.6% anyway! If Keider hangs around for a while without blowing out his arm we'll eventually find out. Quote

IdahoBert Posted July 5 Posted July 5 This game has one of those weird national broadcast windows so it’s starting a lot later than I was expecting it to begin. Quote
Edman85 Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I was going through national tv pairing history over the offseason and saw this is what NBC/ABC did during the "Baseball Network" days of 1994-1995. They took turns broadcasting all the Saturday games, and it was on in the local affiliates that day with a PxP guy and Color guy from each team. 2 Quote

oblong Posted July 5 Posted July 5 I feel like that’s around the time I became aware of Tom Paciorek and Josh Lewin. Quote
IdahoBert Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Although rocker has a 9.00 ERA in the first, he got out of this inning basically unscathed Quote
