Apparently Joey Cora has been fired

Man, how did it take this long after the horrific Riley send?

Last year yeah, it'll be a long road back but maybe mid-August?

And even after he gets back, it will probably take a while for him to get his command back.

To make it look like that specific play was not the reason.

I say let him air it out in relief this year (unless the rotation gets sold off)

It's hard to say anymore. Surgical techniques evolve at such a rapid rate now that you can only guess. Apropos of that, IIRC Jobe's procedure was a 'next generation' type.

I like this idea.  He’s not likely to build himself up to an effective MLB SP by the end of this season anyway and there’s an obvious need for RP.

We'll see.  It is hard for me to be optimistic about injuries.  There have been all kinds of advancements, but more players are getting hurt than ever and then they come back and get hurt again.  "Next generaton" surgery has hopefully better (but unknown) recovery.
