IdahoBert Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I looked it up and I guess according to the rules if you’re ahead by 10 runs, you can put in a position player to pitch, but I think everybody wants this game to end. Quote
Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted July 29 Posted July 29 this is the second time ever (or since 1912) that the Tigers have scored in all 8 innings of a 9-inning home win. the other time was in 2014. Quote
romad1 Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I hate to say it but this game had a party in the bunker feel to it. I hope not. I hope they can sustain a surge. 1 Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted July 29 Posted July 29 If we get this much better just by DFAing Jake, imagine what will happen if we cut McKinstry, Vierling and Outman! 2 Quote

lordstanley Posted July 29 Posted July 29 So in the doubleheader nightcap, the Guardians were down to their last strike. 1 on, 2 out, trailing by 2, top of the 9th. Listen to this beautiful Tom Hamilton call of the next pitch … Cleveland Cincy Ending.m4a 2 2 Quote

Sports_Freak Posted July 29 Posted July 29 The best part of winning is the fact that the trolls stay away. They must be disappointed. Quote
IdahoBert Posted July 29 Posted July 29 It was really good, a really good game. Very heartening. Now we’re back to six games under .500 which is where we were a week ago. Not getting carried away by emotion, it’s a stretch for this team to do what we want them to do. Quote
chasfh Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I was at an historic game tonight! This is only the 19th game in Retrosheet era (since 1898) in which the home team scored all eight innings that they batted in! 1 Quote
papalawrence Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Had late work sessions and am just getting home. Gonna watch it now. Don't spoil it for me 2 Quote

chasfh Posted July 29 Posted July 29 You go to a major league game any chance you get, even on a random Tuesday night in July to watch a scuffling team, because there's always a chance you'll see something almost no one has ever seen before!! 2 Quote
Tiger337 Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I missed it because I was working all night. On the bright side, I was working all last night too. 1 Quote
lordstanley Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I missed most of tonight's game because I was sick and tired in bed recovering from having done a 6-hour shift as a Course Marshall at a trail ultra in the rainforest this weekend. To be clear, wiped out not because I actually ran the ultra, but wiped out just from volunteering at it. 1 Quote
