The only way to stop trotting him out there is remove him from the roster. But as long as he's there, AJ can't simply refuse to use him. He can only choose when to use him, like being up 7-1, or up 8-2. Quote

Very....subtle. 😆😆 Quote

It’s a very small sample, but the first 2 LH hitters Harris drafted have no issues against LH pitching either in the minors or so far in the majors. The hitters with the platoon issues are all from the previous regime. Quote

Now go stuff your tears in a sack, I hope he pitches at Comerica and gets rocked and in the post season. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Max doesn't seem as brash as the media made him out to be. So he has tattoos and wears jewelry...who cares? He looks really talented and talented players who are kinda cocky usually back it up. I think he is going to be a tremendous help to this team. So many rookies.... Quote

McNeill got a run in and safely got on base. Maybe Jansen was salty because the Tigers wouldn’t be able to successfully execute that? 1 Quote

Tenacious D Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Clark is not a jerk, just expressive. MLB should embrace him—has a keen marketing sense at 21. If baseball wants to be more interesting to a younger market, it’s going to be through players like Max. Quote

So playing Wilma Weepy to me doesn't work when he and he alone made the decision to leave. Sign a rich contract and stay if it meant so much to you. 1 Quote

I'm not sure what you mean. Now looking at the trade, I think the Tigers probably could've done better. But, yes, I would've traded him. And if the players make it still work for themselves and put them in the playoffs, that's all the better. The season didn't have to die with Skubal being traded. My post was what it said. I'm glad they traded him, but now let's move on and make the playoffs. It would be fun to see players that will be here next season (if there is a next season) step up and still get into the postseason. But, I will say this, if the Tigers were 2 1/2 IN the playoffs, I probably wouldn't have traded him. Edited August 2 by DTroppens Quote

Now looking at the trade, I think the Tigers probably could've been better. How can you think this? Do you think Harris and team are incompetent or had another agenda? Why wouldn’t they accept the best offer? Not accusing you of this, but I think a lot of Tigers fans were seduced by all of the trade rumors and proposed packages offered by the media and ex-GM’s. They weren’t grounded in any reality. Quote
