The Battle for Lord Stanley’s Cup

It's funny a couple minutes earlier on the puck that hit the crossbar for the Avs I thought to myself watching live "That looked like it hit the top of the net and came out, oh well the ref is right there he would've seen if it did or not" then two minutes later this happened.

I thought the shift before the goal was almost comic also. Tampa completely on their heels and couldn't get possession but the Avs had been on the ice so long they were too gassed to get any kind of play going either.

At first look it’s not a big deal.  The extra man is right next to the boards and they allow that all day.   When you realize Kadri was the player coming on the ice and jumped early and played the puck, that’s a huge miss by the refs

wonder if they weren't more likely to  get away with that because the exchange of position between the players was away from the offensive end.

exactly, it was missed because McKinnon was not part of the play and had no influence on the play.   This kid of exchange happens all the time.   At least it wasn't for 21 seconds like the Penguins-Wings series in 09

But Nadri jumped early. If a goalie is pulled and skates towards his bench, you can’t hop on the ice while he is still at the blue line. You have to wait for him to get close. McKinnon was nowhere near the bench when Nadri jumped the gun.
